*FINDING PURPOSE IN THE BODY*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:"* (1 Corinthians 1:2 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
No calling of God upon a man is entirely private or unique or special. No gift of God in the life of a man is entirely for the individual benefit of the bearer of the gift. Paul was called an Apostle and brother Sosthenes was a brother in the Lord, both for the general good of the body of Christ.
*"Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's"* (1 Corinthians 1:1-2 (KJV))
There is something in the Call of God upon your life for both your immediate circle and the rest of the body of Christ. The body of Christ is designed to be inter-connected and inter-dependent. Don't ever think you can stand alone. Paul didn't shy away from mentioning Brother Sosthenes. Paul also wasn't too special in his own eyes that he tried to do God's work alone! Your part, whether major or minor, whether big or small, is essential to the grand design and purpose of God.
No big man of God ever started big. No big business person started big. There is always a relatively small or smaller beginning at some point in the story line. Hold dear that gift God has deposited in you. Some persons may be more pronounced than others, but if you are a brother Sosthenes rejoice in your ability and be content in your part. Just be faithful at the place of your calling!
The word of God has a specific and a generic application in your life. The Book is written specially to you as it was written for the Corinthian believer in the time of Paul-- "called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's"
The most important thing is this, Is Jesus truly your Lord!? He is our Lord, but is He YOUR Lord? Is He MY Lord? Not in word only, but indeed! Once we live in the reality of JESUS LORDSHIP, then we truly begin to find meaning in the Body!
_MEDITATION:_
*"Whatever your story, find purpose in the body of Christ. Don't be a lone ranger. Identify with the body. You are not that special. You are not that ordinary too. You belong to the body of Christ. Find meaning in Christ, who is the head of the Body."*

*A Title-Crazy Generation*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother"* (1 Corinthians 1:1 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Welcome to our world, where titles are very precious. Everyone wants to get one. Names appear naked and common without one. None is really ready to suffer such shame. Except of course, where circumstances makes it absolutely difficult. Deep down, no one wants a name with no titles.
Paul had simply called himself by his name, before trying to give a humble but indeed befitting description of himself. He had to explain how he became an Apostle. He was called by Jesus Christ under the will of God. If anyone in this world, ever had a calling, Paul definitely had one. In fact, his calling was more than dramatic. His calling left him blind for three days, without food. Even if he wanted to, he would never forget how he was called in a hurry! Such a calling! Oh, that the persecutors of the faith in our days be visited by such forceful calling!
Paul would never have done justice to any brief introduction of himself, if he doesn't describe himself as an Apostle. For him, it was not a job he had desired and worked towards. Rather, his apostleship is one he considers himself dead, if he fails to fulfill it or work towards it.
_*"For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!"*_ (1 Corinthians 9:16 (KJV))
Before you allow any title decorate your name, ask yourself if you are really living worthy of it. It is not enough to have powerful titles to your name, whether before or after. But the question is, do you live up to such titles?
_MEDITATION:_
*"Whatever title you have or hope to have, don't find fulfilment in it/them, if you are not living the part. It is better to live the life without the title, than to have the title without the life"*

*"The Media & Your Choice"*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."* (Philippians 4:8 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Evidently, the media is heavily saturated with all kinds of frivolous, distracting, immoral and sensual stuff and this has led many down the road of perversion and depravity. Sometimes, one is tempted to cancel the entire media, especially social media, but when we think more deeply, we see that the real problem is with the choices people are making. The same Internet and media is full of edifying materials. Let me start with spiritual growth. The first time I read some well detailed materials on the Christian faith, I found the materials online. I even registered for a free correspondence bible course! There are YouTube channels dedicated to explaining the bible, FB walls and pages devoted to the same, and many others.
What about personal development? People are getting Google & Coursera certifications freely as they learn new skills. Many programs are out there today to be accessed freely - thousands of courses. Mind shifting, life altering courses capable of boosting your earning power and increasing your employability. YouTube is like a university for skill acquisitions.
Same media.
But all some feed on are the dark and nasty contents? All that some get drunk on are skits and comedies? Fake news? Dragging here and there? That's all you burn your data on while someone else is learning and improving and getting better in life. Some people cannot tell the story of their life's transformation without talking about the opportunities the media has afforded them, yet some cannot talk about their setbacks and misfortunes without talking about the negative impact of the media.
Same media.
Thing is, the media just like life itself, will offer you GOOD and EVIL; LIFE and DEATH. But it's up to you to make the right choice. Before you blame the social media, ask yourself, who were the people you were hanging out with before FB and Twitter happened? What were the things you spent time with? Were you really particular about self development or you were just loose and frivolous? Chances are that you simply found more of the type of people or things you engaged with offline when you joined these platforms.
_MEDITATION:_
*"The media is here to serve you whatever appeals to you. If you fix your choice, the media will become your advantage, not your undoing."*

*"CLOTHING CODE IN SCRIPTURES."*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"AND YOU SHALL MAKE HOLY GARMENTS FOR AARON YOUR BROTHER, FOR GLORY AND FOR BEAUTY.â€* (Exodus‬ â€28:2‬ â€(NKJV‬‬))
_Bible Insight:_
YES, THERE IS A CLOTHING CODE IN SCRIPTURES.
I believe I am well positioned to speak about this. I have preached wearing everything and anything; Bumper Jackets, Cardigans, Suit, Native, Shirts, Tees etc. Therefore I can’t be called a traditionalist; I am a non-conformist, yet I conform with the dictate of scriptures.
SO, NO YOU CANNOT WEAR:
- Over-ripped (torn)/ and overly tight feminine jeans. No sir. It’s wrong.
- You can’t wear transparent and see through gowns. No!
- No sir, you can’t be doing make-up to preach. The gospel is not a joke. No!
- No, you can’t preach in 3 quarter shorts. No sir!
- You can’t say you are tired of wearing bra ma. No ma!
- Sir, button up your shirt, you can’t loosen three buttons. Your ripped chest is not for the pulpit.
- And you see, all those jewelries. Neck, ear, nose, tongue. That’s not God’s glory. That’s not ok. That’s just plain sensuality.
- If your trousers are tight and you are gifted at the backside, then of necessity you must wear a long blouse or shirt that covers. Yes ma!
- You can’t be the image of God and still be the image of a sex god. You can’t be imago dei and still be imago sexualis. It doesn’t work ma.
And since all believers are priests, this should really guide all believers. And yes, we can continue like this.
So why did GOD give details for the clothing of the high priest? He was to be clothed for the purpose OF GLORY AND BEAUTY. That is the primary idea in God’s mind in clothing the high priest. He is a representative of God on earth. He must represent Him as a holy God.
_MEDITATION:_
*"And every Pastor, Teacher, Music Minister and everyone must cloth for Glory and Beauty. It’s not enough that the cloth is beautiful, does it bring glory to God - does it make you a proper representative and carrier of His magnificent presence? And May we all not be dressed in filthy garments. Zech 3:3-4. I hope we get it. There is a guide. There is!

*"NEW VISIONS*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."* (Isaiah 43:18-19 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
To behold, is to see or observe someone or something, especially of remarkable or impressive nature. "Behold, I will do a new thing", says the Lord.
For you to behold the new, you must give up the former things. You must refuse to consider the past things. Begin to behold the new. Consciously strive for the new. The new can be envisaged in the eyes of your mind. You must see with your inner eyes, what is ahead, what can be, what is possible, what is achievable. And as you see it in your spirit, you can manifest it in your reality.
Most times, God longs to make us see ahead, so he can bring us into what we have already seen. That's the God He is-- He speaks into reality that which is physically invisible. He want us to be like that.
Blessed are those who have not seen, but they believe! If you must achieve your NEW, you must first SEE it even when YOUR NEW is visible only to YOU!
_MEDITATION:_
*"It is time to do more! But to do more, we need to first See MORE under God!"*
