*DAILY DEW 9/NOVEMBER/2023* *This Life Is Not Balanced* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"You have been put to no test but such as is common to man: and God is true, who will not let any test come on you which you are not able to undergo; but he will make with the test a way out of it, so that you may be able to go through it."* (1 Corinthians 10:13 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ "Life is not balanced!" That is not in the Bible? Absolutely, you wont find it in the bible. So why is it important!? Well, the key thing, whether you feel like life is balanced or not, is knowing that God is on your side to make you overcome the challenges and circumstances that forces us to think or feel that life is not balanced! The truth is, God takes delight in, bringing out His glory and praise out of the unlikely situations of our lives. That imbalance, that tragedy, that inexplicable demise of a loved one whose life and presence would have made all the difference, all that messy story of your life and what not, is where God loves to bring out His praise and glory! Life is not balanced! But in the imbalance, God brings balance to everyone who trusts him. Many times we don't feel like it, but knowing that God cannot be tripped off balance is like an anchor we can we rely on. He holds us, and not just us holding him. Jesus said in the world we will have tribulations, which we can call, Life not balanced situations, but we can be of good cheer because we know He overcame this world. Inside his victory lies our victory too. Hallelujah! _MEDITATION:_ *We are like clay jars in which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us. We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don't know what to do, we never give up. *DAILY DEW 8/NOVEMBER/2023* *This Life Is Not Balanced* _Key Bible Text:_ *"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."* (John 16:33 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ In all of scripture, no where did God promise a problem free life! God never did all through the Old Testament. In the New Testament, even while with them, Jesus never promised His disciples a problem free life. In fact, he prepared them for challenges and problems. "In the world ye shall have tribulation", is the "promise" we have from Jesus. Someone will ask, what is tribulation? In english dictionary, it simply means "a cause of great trouble or suffering." That is certainly a problem, a major problem even. And you know, sometimes, the problems we would have to deal with, will not be ones we think we deserve or should be facing! There are problems, we have invited by our actions or inaction, but there are those we don't even understand why we have to deal with them! So tribulation is not negotiable. When dealing with these problems, you would sometimes feel "life is not balanced." _MEDITATION:_ *Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. The Holy Spirit aligns with Scripture, while emotions can contradict it (Matt 4:4). 2. The Holy Spirit's voice is divine. Our emotions arise from biology and experiences. 3. The Holy Spirit is consistent. Our emotions can fluctuate. 4. The Holy Spirit guides us according to God's will. Our emotions reflect our internal state (Rom 12:2). 5. The Holy Spirit is reliable. Our emotions can deceive us (Jer 17:9). 6. Responding to the Holy Spirit requires faith. Managing our emotions demands self-awareness. 7. The Holy Spirit has God’s support. Our emotions can lack supernatural providence (Jn 10:4). 8. The Holy Spirit whispers. *DAILY DEW 6/NOVEMBER/2023* *TONGUES* (XI) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?"* (Acts 2: 7,8 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ *"...Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?"* When you look at the list of tribes here represented you will realize that this was the entire known world at the time. God was reclaiming the nations of the earth who turned from him at Babel by the gospel. These Jews after salvation were to return to these gentile nations where they were based and take the gospel message with them. Now after they were saved, they stayed a while following the apostles doctrine so as to grow spiritually, but persecution later scattered them and they went back to their own place of domicile among the gentile nations. Not only them but also many Jews who lived and where born in Jerusalem. Acts 2 was a prophetic sign and a fulfillment of a prophecy. God used the language of foreign nations to witness to the entire nation of Israel about their redemption but not all listened. It is a witness against those who despite that manifestation in Jerusalem still didn’t believe. Other tongues are a sign to the unbelieving Jews to draw them close while prophesy serves to believers as a means of edification. So biblical tongues can either be new tongues or other tongues. Whichever it will be in manifestation is as the spirit wills not as we will but both are within the capacities of the Holyghost resident in the believer. _MEDITATION:_ *And Saul was consenting unto his death.
