*DAILY DEW 30/NOVEMBER/2023* *FISHERMEN AND FISHERS OF MEN* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep."* (John 21:16 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ They caught nothing all night when they stepped out of the will of God, pursuing the goodies of life rather than the bounties of eternity! The difference was clear the moment Jesus came and said, *Throw your net out on the right side of the boat, and you will catch some.* All our struggles in the strength of might and in disobedience or flesh cannot exceed or even equal one singular act of obedience to His word! When we join in the grind, hustle and bustle of the world, without regard to seeking our Lord's voice or will, we will be "fishermen" but never "fishers of men" Fishers of men move by the revelation of and from the Word not by the information of and from the world! The world's information may inform us on how to become better fishermen but cannot transform us into fishers of men! We cannot become fishers of men, if we have not obeyed the word of the master--- "Feed my sheep!" He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs."* (John 21:15 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Simon Peter said to the others, *I am going fishing.* *We will come with you,* they told him. So they went out in a boat, but all that night they did not catch a thing. As the sun was rising, Jesus stood at the water's edge, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then he asked them, *Young men, haven't you caught anything?* *Not a thing,* they answered. He said to them, *Throw your net out on the right side of the boat, and you will catch some.* So they threw the net out and could not pull it back in, because they had caught so many fish. Jesus came to be with the disciples, right in their disobience and return to being fishermen rather than fishers of men! He didn't come with a cain. He came with more fishes. So much more, than all their all night efforts could catch! *DAILY DEW 27/NOVEMBER/2023* *7 THINGS KILLING YOUR PRAYER LIFE.* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer"* (Romans 12:12 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ 1. Excessive eating: Eating more than necessary at night will only weaken your body. 2. Sleep: You must train body to sleep less and stay awake. Sleep drain your strength to pray. The truth is, some sleep is an attack. 3. Filthiness of the spirit and soul: Pornography, sex chat and impure thoughts are killers of prayer stamina. Your inner man would always be defeated by feeding your spirit man with filthy and erotic content. 4. Bad atmosphere: Atmosphere you create and find yourself matter a lot. If you're among prayer weaklings, gossip and carnal believers your prayer fire will die. Gossip and backbite would frustrate you. 5. Poor feeding of your inner man. If your spirit man isn't well fed you can't be a prayer champion. You don't listen to sermons, you hardly study the word or Christian articles then your prayer life will be starved to death. 6. Worry: No worrier becomes a prayer warrior. Kill your worry to give life to your prayer stamina. 7. *DAILY DEW 28/NOVEMBER/2023* *Two Ways We Receive God’s Anointing* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."* (1 John 2:27 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Two Ways We Receive God’s Anointing: 1. A visitation from God 2. An impartation from men of God Good examples are: - Moses vs Joshua God supernaturally encountered Moses, but Moses laid hands on Joshua (Num 27:18; Deut 34:9). - Samuel vs David God supernaturally visited Samuel, but Samuel anointed Saul and David (1 Sam 3:1; 10:1; 16:12). - Elijah vs Elisha We don’t know how Elijah became a prophet, but most likely, it was supernaturally. Elisha became a prophet by receiving a double portion of Elijah’s spirit (2 Kings 2:9). - Paul and Timothy Paul had Ananias lay hands on him by prophets and teachers (Acts 9:17; 13:1-3). Timothy received the gifts of God through Paul and elders (1 Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6).
