Amen."* Mark 16:19-20 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ One person who obeys God's word, renders the entire excuses of those who do not to no effect. No wonder 2 Corinthians 10:6 says the punishment of disobedience is ripe when obedience is fulfilled. The disciples who later became apostles & other disciples went forth to preach everywhere. They did not allow any form of excuse to deter them from preaching the Gospel. What's your excuse for not preaching the Gospel? For every time someone obeys Jesus' command to preach the Gospel, your excuses are further rendered invalid. God did not call us to preach alone. He actually gave us what it takes to preach-- the boldness, the utterance, the power, etc. We have no excuses and even if we think we do, our excuses are unjustifiable. _MEDITATION:_ *Place your excuses for not preaching the Gospel side by side with all that Christ has done for you, beginning from his death on the cross. Then judge yourself by yourself, are your excuses tenable? Are your excuses valid? *DAILY DEW 2/DECEMBER/2024* *It is still His Final Instructions* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."* Luke 24:46-47 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ As the year runs out, businesses and individuals are forced to check their records and reports to see how they have fared in the year. It is not just a custom. It is a practice rooted in wisdom. When this is done properly, you get the benefit of hindsight, insight and foresight of how to run the succeeding year better. In like manner, at the close of his ministry on earth as a man, Jesus gave a final instruction that summed up the essence of His work on earth. These instructions when carried out give meaning to the purpose of the birth, suffering, crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. As we close the year, take a critical look at this all important instruction- "that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations".
