You can only build fire to the extent that you overcome the excuses of the flesh. You can battle with things in your flesh, but if you choose to build a fire in spite of that, you'll grow your fire for God. 2. Somebody can spark your fire for God, but it is your logs of wood that will keep the fire burning. God always starts the fire, but God doesn't keep it burning. What keeps your fire burning are your logs of wood-your prayer, fasting, giving, and reading of the Word. 3. When you start to build a fire, vipers will come out. Don't blame God if it seems like now that you're getting closer to Him, all hell is breaking loose. The fire did not create the snake; it only exposed it. The most beautiful part about building God's fire in your life is that if His fire exposes it, then it can kill it. 4. Everybody gets attacked, but not everybody walks in dominion. What God wants to teach you is not to depend on the fire of your pastor but to build a fire in your own home so that if something comes against you, you have a place to drop that snake (nightmare, depression, sickness) into. _MEDITATION:_ *"If you are struggling to stay on fire for God, don't stop struggling. *DAILY DEW 30/MARCH/2024* *Loyalty and Faithfulness* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Never let go of loyalty and faithfulness. Tie them around your neck; write them on your heart. If you do this, both God and people will be pleased with you."* Proverbs 3:3-4 (GNB) _Bible Insight:_ I am fascinated by the fact that KJV renders this verse 3 as: Let not MERCY and TRUTH forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart. Proverbs 3:3 (KJV) So mercy and loyalty are related while truth and faithfulness are related. Mercy does not readily strike as loyalty. However when you are always loyal to someone, you will be "merciful" towards them by always choosing to favour or stand by them, whether or not they deserve or merit it. Truth and faithfulness on the other hand are pretty straightforward. A truthful person will be a faithful person. An untruthful person will be unreliable, therefore unfaithful. Remember, both qualities of mercy/loyalty and faithfulness/truthfulness will attract both men's pleasure and above all God's pleasure. _MEDITATION:_ *"When being loyal to man conflicts with being loyal to God, please choose God over man. My teaching will give you a long and prosperous life."* Proverbs 3:1-2 (GNB) _Bible Insight:_ Take it or leave it: God's word brings true prosperity and longevity. You don't become truly prosperous in God's estimation until you live by the teachings of scripture. When you always remember God's teachings, and live by His provisions, you may not be as wealthy as the unsaved or lost, but your wealth will be truly impactful on earth and definitely rewarded in heaven! Long and prosperous living is God's will for you too but dont run faster than God. *DAILY DEW 28/MARCH/2024* *WAYS OF DARKNESS* (IV) _Key Bible Text:_ *"So you must follow the example of good people and live a righteous life. Righteous people -- people of integrity -- will live in this land of ours."* Proverbs 2:20-21 (GNB) _Bible Insight:_ Will people of integrity, or those who shun the ways of darkness, truly live in this land of ours!? Does it really appear like the nations of this world will fully reward or favor those who stick to integrity? If we expect this world alone to favour or reward people of integrity, we may be frustrated and disappointed. This world will not be able to recompense those who shun the ways of darkness. In fact, this world, by & large will be hostile to those who shun the ways of darkness. Only God can commensurately reward those who stand with the emblem of integrity. *DAILY DEW 27/MARCH/2024* *WAYS OF DARKNESS* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"You will be able to resist any immoral woman who tries to seduce you with her smooth talk, who is faithless to her own husband and forgets her sacred vows."* Proverbs 2:16-17 (GNB) _Bible Insight:_ A person of insight or discretion and understanding will shun immoral ways. Those who follow the opposite sex as a means of experimenting sexual relations and acts, are void of understanding. They are walking in the ways of darkness. Those who indulge in using sexual advances to secure advancement in life are without insight and understanding. Those who have perfected the habit of tempting others to fall into sexual perversion lack discretion. Those they succeed in enticing are also without understanding. I know a young man who allowed himself to be visited by a lady, whom he met on Facebook. He even sent transport fare. The lady was to stay with him for the period of the visit. Of course, they ate the forbidden fruit while at it. They lacked discretion and understanding was far from them. Those who forget their vows to their spouses or to their maker, and indulge in sexual infidelity are without discretion and understanding. They are following the ways of darkness and will surely end in eternal death if they don't repent! _MEDITATION:_ *If you go to her house, you are traveling the road to death. To go there is to approach the world of the dead. No one who visits her ever comes back.
