Proverbs 3:7-8 (GNB) Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the LORD and refuse to do wrong. If you do, it will be like good medicine, healing your wounds and easing your pains. Evil doing births Ill health. Doing good by the fear of God also promotes health. Never think it is wrong to refrain from evil because you are afraid of God. Being afraid of God and refraining from evil is healthy and biblical. When your love for God makes you obey God, you are also being biblical. Likewise when your fear for God makes you obey God, you are also being biblical. In the end, only those who truly believe and have received Jesus as Lord by faith, can truly please God. And for them, they have what it takes to please or obey God. *DAILY DEW 3/APRIL/2024* *FEAR THE LORD, DEPART FROM EVIL* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."* Proverbs 3:7 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord makes you wise by making you depart from evil. It is in your departure from evil, that the fear of the Lord is proven! The proof of godly reverence is in your godly abstinence from evil. You cannot fear God, and at the same time, embrace or condone evil. The two are mutually exclusive. The bible teaches that we should fear God. Jesus was very explicit and didn't mince words in Matthew 10:28 (KJV): *And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather FEAR HIM which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.* He not only taught the fear God, but he indirectly said, we should fear God because He destroys both body and soul in hell! _MEDITATION:_ *"It is okay to argue that God does not send people to hell. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.."* Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The United States of America, has their motto as "In God We Trust". But even such beautiful mottos don't actually mean much until one through consistent actions show that they trust God. Why should you trust God? Your knowledge is limited. We don't always see beyond our noses. Common sense is limited and even common sense is too common to make one exceptional in life. You can't be the best until you go beyond common sense and common knowledge. Trusting in God, gives you access to do things beyond common sense and common knowledge. Those who trust in God, actually take more actions, exhibit more courage, make more mistakes at times, and at the same time, achieve more results, because God has got them covered. *DAILY DEW 1/APRIL/2024* *NEW LIFE BEFORE NEW RULES* _Key Bible Text:_ *"As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."* (John 17:2-3 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Religious rules and regulations are great. For where there are no rules, disorder is very likely. But rules are not the first thing in our relationship with God. The first thing is a new life. God gave us His Son so that whosoever believes in Him will receive this new life: the God-kind of life. This makes us a new specie of human beings. A new race created to be like Him, to think like Him, and to act like Him. Giving Christian rules to a person who doesn't have eternal life is like asking a dead man to obey your rules. What you will get is frustrations and disappointments! The change cannot be real. It will be like forcing a person to comply. That's what happens with dead religion.. So what God did was to give us His life, His nature, His very own DNA, what we call ETERNAL LIFE! In Christ, we become children of God. Now when we let this divine life govern our thoughts, words, and actions, we will not struggle with righteous rules and regulations. They will flow from within. *DAILY DEW 31/MARCH/2024* *Struggling to Burn For God?* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand."* (Acts 28:3 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ This is what you must understand… 1. You can only build fire to the extent that you overcome the excuses of the flesh. You can battle with things in your flesh, but if you choose to build a fire in spite of that, you'll grow your fire for God. 2. Somebody can spark your fire for God, but it is your logs of wood that will keep the fire burning. God always starts the fire, but God doesn't keep it burning. What keeps your fire burning are your logs of wood-your prayer, fasting, giving, and reading of the Word. 3. When you start to build a fire, vipers will come out. Don't blame God if it seems like now that you're getting closer to Him, all hell is breaking loose. The fire did not create the snake; it only exposed it. The most beautiful part about building God's fire in your life is that if His fire exposes it, then it can kill it. 4. Everybody gets attacked, but not everybody walks in dominion. What God wants to teach you is not to depend on the fire of your pastor but to build a fire in your own home so that if something comes against you, you have a place to drop that snake (nightmare, depression, sickness) into. _MEDITATION:_ *"If you are struggling to stay on fire for God, don't stop struggling.
