*DAILY DEW 3/APRIL/2024* *FEAR THE LORD, DEPART FROM EVIL* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."* Proverbs 3:7 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the Lord makes you wise by making you depart from evil. It is in your departure from evil, that the fear of the Lord is proven! The proof of godly reverence is in your godly abstinence from evil. You cannot fear God, and at the same time, embrace or condone evil. The two are mutually exclusive. The bible teaches that we should fear God. Jesus was very explicit and didn't mince words in Matthew 10:28 (KJV): *And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather FEAR HIM which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.* He not only taught the fear God, but he indirectly said, we should fear God because He destroys both body and soul in hell! _MEDITATION:_ *"It is okay to argue that God does not send people to hell. Well, he created hell and Jesus said he destroys both soul and body in hell.
