*DAILY DEW 2/NOVEMBER/2024* *POOR RICHES AND RICH POVERTY* _Key Bible Text:_ *"There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches."* Proverbs 13:7 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ "There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing", this shows possibility, a communication of a kind of prosperity that lacks substance. It is a way to say, while there are riches that are substancial, it is also possible to have riches that are superficial and actually amounts to emptiness-- nothing! All riches do not amount to prosperity. Some prosperity lack substance. There is even that as well. Conversely, "there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches." It is also a communication of possibility, and existence of a type of poverty that lacks no substance. I can immediately think of John the Baptist or even more accutately Jesus Christ. *DAILY DEW 1/NOVEMBER/2024* *Righteousness over wickedness* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner."* Proverbs 13:6 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ Your rising is tied to your right standing with God's words. To stand right with God, you must accept, act & align with the Word. The way of righteousness is the way of obedience to the Word of God. When we are rising in our obedience to God's words, your alignment is counted as righteousness. When we are failing in our obedience to God's words, your unalignment is counted as sinfulness which can also register as wickedness before God. The advantage of righteousness includes a cover or protection of its practitioners. *DAILY DEW 29/NOVEMBER/2023* *FISHERMEN AND FISHERS OF MEN* _Key Bible Text:_ *"So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs."* (John 21:15 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Simon Peter said to the others, *I am going fishing.* *We will come with you,* they told him. So they went out in a boat, but all that night they did not catch a thing. As the sun was rising, Jesus stood at the water's edge, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then he asked them, *Young men, haven't you caught anything?* *Not a thing,* they answered. He said to them, *Throw your net out on the right side of the boat, and you will catch some.* So they threw the net out and could not pull it back in, because they had caught so many fish. Jesus came to be with the disciples, right in their disobience and return to being fishermen rather than fishers of men! He didn't come with a cain. He came with more fishes. So much more, than all their all night efforts could catch! *DAILY DEW 27/NOVEMBER/2023* *7 THINGS KILLING YOUR PRAYER LIFE.* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer"* (Romans 12:12 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ 1. Excessive eating: Eating more than necessary at night will only weaken your body. 2. Sleep: You must train body to sleep less and stay awake. Sleep drain your strength to pray. The truth is, some sleep is an attack. 3. Filthiness of the spirit and soul: Pornography, sex chat and impure thoughts are killers of prayer stamina. Your inner man would always be defeated by feeding your spirit man with filthy and erotic content. 4. Bad atmosphere: Atmosphere you create and find yourself matter a lot. If you're among prayer weaklings, gossip and carnal believers your prayer fire will die. Gossip and backbite would frustrate you. 5. Poor feeding of your inner man. If your spirit man isn't well fed you can't be a prayer champion. You don't listen to sermons, you hardly study the word or Christian articles then your prayer life will be starved to death. 6. Worry: No worrier becomes a prayer warrior. Kill your worry to give life to your prayer stamina. 7. *DAILY DEW 28/NOVEMBER/2023* *Two Ways We Receive God’s Anointing* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."* (1 John 2:27 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Two Ways We Receive God’s Anointing: 1. A visitation from God 2. An impartation from men of God Good examples are: - Moses vs Joshua God supernaturally encountered Moses, but Moses laid hands on Joshua (Num 27:18; Deut 34:9). - Samuel vs David God supernaturally visited Samuel, but Samuel anointed Saul and David (1 Sam 3:1; 10:1; 16:12). - Elijah vs Elisha We don’t know how Elijah became a prophet, but most likely, it was supernaturally. Elisha became a prophet by receiving a double portion of Elijah’s spirit (2 Kings 2:9). - Paul and Timothy Paul had Ananias lay hands on him by prophets and teachers (Acts 9:17; 13:1-3). Timothy received the gifts of God through Paul and elders (1 Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6).
