_Key Bible Text:_
*“Keep your eyes on [Jesus], who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed--that exhilarating finish in and with God--he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he's [there], in the place of honor, right alongside God."* (Hebrews 12:2 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
Don’t lose your wonder. After a season of absolute awe and new learnings about God, did you go through a phase where you felt like you lost that amazement? In Psalms 139:6 while talking about God’s love and knowledge of us, David says, “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.â€
While you fix your eyes on Jesus, it is also important to explore and receive new revelations about God. God’s work is too vast for us to measure and too profound for us to fathom, however, God is gracious to give us glimpses of His Glory when we love Him and long to know more. These continuous revelations about God will unquestionably leave you in wonder, fueling your love and passion for God.
In the monotony created, many Christians almost lose the realization of the authority that we have as sons and daughters of God.
Don’t ever become passive about the passion you carried and casual about the mission you committed your life to.
What are some creative ways you can think of to remind yourself and always hold on to that “wonder
Start practicing them and list down all that amazes you. Psalms 139 holds a beautiful list of revelations about God. Though David’s thought was directed towards asking God to search him and know his heart is true, his revelation of God gave him hope that his God knew him better than anyone could ever know.

*THE NECESSITY OF HUNGER* (IV)
_Key Bible Text:_
*“In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work."* (John 4:31-34 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Hunger for God, as we must see, manifest in a number of ways: hunger for righteousness, hunger for God's presence, to wit, to spend time studying His word and praying, etc. One other way, hunger for God is seen and experienced, is HUNGER TO DO HIS WILL & HIS WORK! (This is also righteousness but with focus on the Father's heart beat, that is, kingdom expansion)
Hungry believers do not get tired of being Hungry for God's righteousness and His Kingdom's establishment and expansion.
Open to John 4:4-8, you will notice that Jesus was both wearied from his journey and hungry since his disciples had to go buy meat. However, as can be seen later in that chapter, and as captured in our key Bible text, Jesus was more hungry to do the will of His Father and to Finish His work, than He was for physical bread, meat or water!
Hunger for God must mean something to you. Hunger for God must mean knowing God and making Him known! To further buttress His point about hunger and doing/finishing the Will and Work of the Father, Jesus added as follows:-
*_"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together."_* (John 4:35-36 (KJV))

*RELATIONSHIPS & CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools."* (Ecclesiastes 7:9 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
SOME RED FLAGS to consider when considering a serious relationship or choice of a life partner, are as follows:-
1. How does s/he treat others, especially those who are below them financially and otherwise?
Don't move on when you notice that your proposed partner is always disrespectful, vile or violent/unnecessarily aggressive towards others except you! Don't ever think that such treatment will not be unleashed at you some day! The way s/he generally treats others and conducts himself or herself is the way s/he truly is! All the exclusive niceness or goodness s/he displays towards you are temporary make-believe acts that will wear off soo! Beware!
2. How does s/he manage anger?
Anger management is a vital factor to consider when choosing a life partner.
Anyone who can't control their anger and are unwilling to do so, are future marriage problems in disguise! When you have a potential partner who is proud to say "little things get me angry" or "I am hot tempered and I can damage things when I am angry oh but I can be very nice", just know that you are being given a hint of what to expect if you advance to marriage. Be rest assured that there will be problems because marriage is haven of offence and forgiveness or it's nothing! So when he or she is offended, you have already been told to expect anger outburst, damages and hurts, and temporary madness.
Truth is, such is not necessary. Anger or being angry is not a license or justification for losing control and going berserk! A sister or brother who cannot learn to control or manage anger is a spiritual baby (and prayer point) and needs to be put in order first as a single person so as not to extend such liability to a life partner!
_MEDITATION:_
*"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4: 31-32 (KJV))!"*

*THE MOUNTAIN OF FAMILY* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud;!love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs;
love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.
Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail."* (1Cor 13:4-7(GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
What else makes a family strong and able to influence the society?
2. A genuine demonstration of love:
How do you learn love from your (previous) home? Did your mother and father show the love needed to influence a society? You can't export or teach or apply what you do not have.
The Family that will wield godly influence that can positively impact on the society is one where you have agape love. You learn unconditional love (God kind of love) from home. That's the best place to learn/teach agape love.
Effects of a loveless home:-
1. Violence. Quarrel and fight without settling. Build the opposite of this in your family.
2. Hatred. Bitterness. Don't give room to siblings rivalry and internal wrangling!
3. Marital crises. Father and mother quarrel before the children. Don't model a dysfunctional marriage or home to the children. It has far reaching consequences that may not be easily reversed. When resolving a conflict, enter the room, lower your voices and discuss in the spirit of love. And boundaries must be set such that you will know what to say or not.
If you can't boast of a family that has taught you the right way, you still have a chance. Be transformed by renewing your mind. Challenge what you have been exposed to that is not godly. You can overcome the negative effects of wrong foundations.
To build a family that can impact or influence the society, do this as well.
3. Raise or become individuals who are committed to each other. In other words, place the family needs ahead of personal needs and desires.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Motivate each other when one is discouraged.."*

*DAILY DEW 4/MAY/2022*
*THE CRUCIFIED LIFE VS THE MORTIFIED LIFE*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.* (Galatians 5:24 (KJV))
*"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:"* (Colossians 3:5 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Flowing from the power of resurrection, when put into perspective, is the power or victory over the old life of sin! The crucified life of Christ in the past, gives us access to victory over the old man of sin, while the mortified life brings us the victory in the present and future.
In other words, the reality of the newness of life comes as an aftermath of the crucified life of Christ! The place of crucifixion is past truth and fact that you can draw beneficially from. For you also were crucified with Christ on the cross! *"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."* (Romans 6:6 (KJV))
Therefore, the very fact/truth of crucifixion and resurrection, gives you the grace and duty of mortifying the flesh! To mortify appears at least twice in King James Version. The first appearance was as follows: *"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do MORTIFY the deeds of the body, ye shall live."* (Romans 8:12-13 (KJV))
The second is already stated in our Key Bible Text. To "mortify" is a verb, calling you to a present action/duty. But in all occasions in scriptures (NT), wherever "crucified" appeared, it referenced a concluded event, needing no further action, other than its recognition, acceptance and appreciation!
The power of resurrection enables us to actually, mortify (put to death the desires of) the flesh.
_MEDITATION:_
*"So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don't be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him."* (Colossians 3:5-10 (NLT))
