*DISCIPLESHIP, GATHERINGS & GROWTH* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*“For the equipping of the saints for the
work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to
the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect
[mature] man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ"* (Eph.
4:12–13)
_Bible Insight:_
If you had asked the apostle Paul what his goal was in serving God, he
would have said, “That we may present every man perfect [mature] in
Christ Jesus†(Col. 1:28). If you had asked him to describe the work of the
local church, he would have replied, “For the equipping of the saints for the
work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to
the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect
[mature] man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ†(Eph.
4:12–13).
*In spite of what some “success preachers†say, God’s goal for our lives is
not money but maturity, not happiness but holiness, not getting but giving.*
God is at work making people more like His Son, and that’s what Christian
service is all about. Your purpose in serving isn’t to build the biggest church
or Sunday school class, the greatest choir, or the most efficient band of
ushers. Your purpose is to build people of Christian character whom God
can bless and use to build others. You can use all kinds of gimmicks and
techniques to gather a crowd or build an organization, but that’s not the
same as building His church.
The key idea is maturity. The individual Christian is born into the family
of God and should mature and become more like Jesus Christ. As the
church body matures, it increases in size and takes on adult features and
adult responsibilities. It, too, becomes more like Christ. There’s no conflict
between size and maturity, although all bodies don’t mature exactly alike.
But where there’s life, there ought to be growth.
There’s nothing automatic about spiritual maturity. Paul had to pray for
believers, share the Word with them, warn them, even discipline them, to
bring them out of babyhood and into adulthood (1 Cor. 3:1–4). Paul wasn’t
always successful in helping people mature, nor will we be; but with the
Lord’s help, he did his best. If people failed to mature, the failure was theirs
and not Paul’s.
_MEDITATION:_
*“The danger is that we exploit people to get things done instead of
ministering to them so that what they’re doing helps them mature in Christ.
Remember, in God’s eyes, the worker is more important than the work. If
the worker is what he or she ought to be, the work will be done right and
will please God."*

*RELATIONSHIPS & CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER* (IV)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these."* (Galatians 5:22-23 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
We continue with SOME RED FLAGS to consider when considering a serious relationship or choice of a life partner:-
3. Is s/he a patient partner?
Lack of patience is a red flag. (Too much patience may be a red flag too. 😂 ) However, "too much patience" is rarely the problem. And truly, it is not too much patience but either laziness or procrastination or complacency or lack of confidence or indifference or even no future ambition!
On the issue of lack of patience, partners who lack this fruit of the spirit become easily irritated, provoked, and hasty in decisions and actions. By your divine nature, if you are born again, you have no excuse to be impatient!
4. Sit at Home, House Wife vs Over Ambitious Wife/Husband:-
The need to know what you want as a wife or husband is one thing! Properly discussing and deciding on it especially before marriage is another thing!
For some being a sit at home, house wife is satisfying. For others, it is frustrating. Likewise, for some men, they can't understand why a woman will just stay at home and wait for the man to bring in all the money! The bottom line is, never hide or shy away from what you expect in this regard before marriage. Discuss and deliberate intelligently and futuristically.
Some over ambitious career driven Couples, who do not know when to draw the line, will have their children and marriage at risk. You can make all the money (which of course, will never be enough), and yet lose your marriage and children-- the same people to actually enjoy the acquired wealth with!
It pays to walk circumspectly and be flexible as occasion and wisdom demands.

*THE MOUNTAIN OF FAMILY* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"[Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another. Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord."* (Romans 12:9-11(Amplified))
_Bible Insight:_
What else makes a family strong and able to influence the society?
4. Healthy communication is key.
Intentionally create an atmosphere for a healthy communication, between parents and children, between spouses, and between spouses and in-laws and/or (other) third parties.
Healthy communication is the lifeblood of love and marriage. As we learn biblical habits, the words we speak will make impact. Always bear in mind that Words that have been uttered can make or mar a home.
_The How of healthy communication_
1. Share your feelings honestly.
2.Learn to give compliments and affirmation
3. Learn to NOT apportion blame but develop solutions.
4. Develop a win win situation in your arguments and discussion.
When an argument last too long because you want to win, someone is hurt.
5. Don't shout people down. Give freedom of expression.
A home that practices this, will be stronger, better and bigger in the face of adversities, thereby being more influential.
5. Build trust. To be a family of positive influence, deliberately, consciously and painstakingly do things that build trust, and run away from things that cause cracks on the wall of trust.
No family is immune to problems. Problems shake families but a family remains invincible and unshakable when there is a strong level of trust, consistent communication, love, commitment to each other, and spiritual awareness and alignment
_MEDITATION:_

*BUSINESS AS A MISSION*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."* (Mark 16:15-16 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
A missions business is one setup strictly to promote missions. It is different from a christian owning a business. It a business run according to the principles of Jesus. It does not stop such business from being successful or from being a billionaire business.
It is said that Dr Cosmas Maduka of Coscharis Group still does evangelism. Even if one owns a Business as Missions, he or she is not excluded from being involved in personal missions.
The following four (4) characteristics of Kingdom Business should be kept in mind:-
1. It is a Vocation. Ephesians 4:1(KJV): *"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called"*
2. It is intentional and purpose driven. There are skills and talents in your new created man that must be deployed for the purpose of running the business. Ephesians 2:10 (KJV): *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."*
Any business that focus on only profit is a poor business. Wealthy businesses must focus on these three-- Profit. People. Environment
3. A kingdom business is relational. It is a relationship driven business that puts the physical and spiritual wellbeing of the people into high consideration.
4. Operational of Excellence:- No half measures. It is an excellence driven business.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."* (Matthew 5:16 (KJV))

*DAILY DEW 21/APRIL/2022*
*PUTTING EASTER INTO PERSPECTIVE* (IV)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's!"* (Romans 8:11 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
Divine healing and divine health surely flows from the reality of the power of resurrection.
Severally, my word meditation and word medication has been anchored on Romans 8:11. I mutter the words of that scripture sometimes like my life depends on it when I notice that some symptoms wants to attack or is attacking my body.
I remind myself that the life giving spirit, the same Holy Spirit, that raised Jesus from the dead, is alive and present in me, and therefore any dead cell, dead organ, malfunctioning organs, tissues and ligaments, cannot but be made alive. They must be healed.
I love the KJV version as well. Especially when it says, *"He that raised up Christ from the dead SHALL ALSO QUICKEN your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."* There is a life producing quickening that comes from the Spirit of God living in your inside.
Understand that your body being the temple of God (via the Spirit of God) should not also be the building or abiding place or parking lot for sicknesses and diseases. How can light (The Spirit of God) and darkness (sickness) dwell in your body at the same time? Reject it!
The Spirit of God makes your bodies alive. Sickness and diseases therefore are not welcomed. Whenever they come visiting, invoke the provisions of the word of God. If they prove stubborn, also prove stubborn and remain with the Word.
_MEDITATION:_
*"When you remember Easter, remember that the resurrection of Jesus also means that you have access to divine health and divine healing just like Jesus enjoyed"*
