That's the civic duty of the upright. You can't be upright if your blessings does not uplift the people. God wants us to live such life that others will see our light and glorify his name. In matters of evil or negative influence, the upright must never dance to the tune of the majority. *DAILY DEW 31/JULY/2024* *Eternal Hope of the Righteous* _Key Bible Text:_ *When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.* Proverbs 11:7 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ Proverbs 11:7 When the wicked die, that's it--the story's over, end of hope. (Message) Proverbs 11:7 When the wicked die, their hopes die with them. (CEV) Proverbs 11:7 At the death of an upright man his hope does not come to an end, but the hope of the evil-doer comes to destruction. (BBE) As a believer, you are the upright man; you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You are empowered to practice righteousness. As such, you're not only alive in Christ, your (righteous) hopes outlive your days on earth. Your hopes live beyond time. Your death is not the end of your story. On the other hand, the wicked and all their hopes die and ends once in the grave. All their gra gra and all their show offs and big dreams etc dies too.
