(Message) Proverbs 11:7 When the wicked die, their hopes die with them. (CEV) Proverbs 11:7 At the death of an upright man his hope does not come to an end, but the hope of the evil-doer comes to destruction. (BBE) As a believer, you are the upright man; you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You are empowered to practice righteousness. As such, you're not only alive in Christ, your (righteous) hopes outlive your days on earth. Your hopes live beyond time. Your death is not the end of your story. On the other hand, the wicked and all their hopes die and ends once in the grave. All their gra gra and all their show offs and big dreams etc dies too.
