DISAPPOINTMENTS This is the emotion felt when a strongly held expectation is not met. This 14 letter word comes in different shapes and sizes, from friends and foes, family and acquaintances. It's only ideal that we expect IT at anytime so as not to be caught unawares. Take a second to reflect on that one event or happening that threw you off balance, probably an unmet expectations, or an unfair event; that feeling right there can make the earth pause and make you feel bitter and uneasy. This piece is written with that void and pain at heart, I must confess, it's not easy. You can either choose to be a victim of disappointments or you brace up and outshine it's hold. It's all about the CHOICES you make. There are going to be times when you are beat down, tears roll down uncontrollably down your cheek, you disagree with optimism and wish everything disappears. Here's a simple advice, go wild with your emotions and pains, but don't dwell therein longer than necessary. There's this saying I like or should I say I apply when I feel events are going against me, I just whisper "WE MOVE" and I chuckle down my anguish and actually move. It's a choice you see!!!!! Until you come to terms that disappointments are inevitable and surely things will not always go as planned or envisaged, you continue to dabble and eventually become slaves of such events which is not fair on the goodness attached to life. I sometimes like to see certain disappointments as eye openers and opportunities to do something differently. My goal is that we understand the logic behind disappointments and it's power. Remember, what you give power to can either destroy or be a blessing to you. (Choice).
