*GROW* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."* (John 16:33 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Jesus said, 'In the world, you will have tribulation but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world'.
Firstly, the word 'tribulation', as used by Him also means 'pressure'. Secondly, He's shown us how to deal with these pressures: it's by fixing our gaze on His victory. When a believer starts losing his mind because of pressures, it's because his mind is not stayed on Christ. Pressures don't turn us into anything; they only reveal the true state of minds.
Peter exemplified this; Matthew 14:29-31 (KJV) tells the story: *"And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"*
He saw the wind boisterous? How? He stopped focusing on Jesus. The moment he turned back his attention on Jesus, crying for help, he got back on track.
You can't always pay attention to every troubling issue around. You will have to let go of those issues and concentrate on the one that can fix those issues. This ability of zooming unto Jesus amid the distractions of pressure must be learned by practice. Until we grow into this ability, we will remain subject to the distracting presence of pressures.
_MEDITATION:_
*And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.* (Mark 4:18-19 (KJV))

*GROW*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."* (2 Peter 3:18 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The honest truth is this: as long as you belong to a church that doesn't prioritise the study of the word, prayers, evangelism, demonstration of the Spirit, and love among the saints, you will never grow. People rarely grow beyond their local church's influence. I've seen people grow in one year more than they grew in 20 years of being saved just because they decided to belong to a church that prioritises spiritual things. For real, that's the magic.
No instruction in the bible is practicable until the believer grows up. None! The flesh will always war against spiritual things, including the instructions. The world counts them absurd. The baby Christian thinks they are unrealistic but spiritual growth is where the strength to obey lies. Here's an example of such instructions: 1 Peter 2:18-19; "Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully."
In the context of work today, it means you are to leave if you can't stay submissive to your Boss. The believer is not allowed to turn out badly because of other people's bad behaviours. His identity is not based on what the world throws at him. He is different.
_MEDITATION:_
*Obedience to such instructions is proof of growth and strength. Spiritual strength is as tangible as physical strength. It cannot be faked!*

*THREE D'S OF HIGH ACHIEVERS* (IV)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."* (Hebrews 11:6 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
In concluding the three D's that we can learn from Mathew 13:44. -- DISCOVER, DEVELOP and DISPLAY, let's leave a final or extra D-- Be DILIGENT!
The truth is, there is need for a continuous process of discoveries. The discovery is never one-of. Today, you discover you need the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and God's promise that you can have Him. Tomorrow you discover that there are gifts or abilities that come from having him or that there are services required of us when we have him. And the discovery process continues.
For everything we discover, there is need to develop such. And as we develop there is need to display the same. This is a continuous process that must never stop as long as we breathe. So it is in this never ending process of discovery, development and display that DILIGENCE must of necessity be applied. You can't keep these wheels going without diligence.
Are you diligent in your discovery process? Are you diligent in developing the call of God on your life? Are you diligent in growing your discipleship habits? Are you diligent in becoming better today than you were tomorrow? Are you diligent in shining your light, manifesting the glory of God?
Yes, it is not an easy process but we were never promised that it will be easy. We were promised that it will be worth it. He that must come to God, he that must carry God, he that must be an embassy of God on earth, must BE DILIGENT IN SEEKING GOD. God doesn't give himself to those who do not have the heart to seek him with perseverance. (John 2:24)
Like a precious mineral, such as gold or diamond, God is never found lying on the surface. He is buried deep for those who are ready to go deep with God. The deep calls to the deep. Don't be casual or faint hearted.
When God finds us, the evidence that we have been found of God, is proven when we subscribe to the never ending journey of finding God. Abraham was called by God, and for the rest of his life Abraham kept moving from place to place looking for a city whose builder and maker is God! Same for Moses. Same for Paul. Same for you?
_MEDITATION:_
*"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.* (Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV))

*THREE D'S OF HIGH ACHIEVERS* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"You are like light for the whole world. A city built on top of a hill cannot be hidden, and no one would light a lamp and put it under a clay pot. A lamp is placed on a lampstand, where it can give light to everyone in the house. Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and will praise your Father in heaven."* (Matthew 5:14-16 (CEV))
_Bible Insight:_
LET US continue with the three D's that we can learn from Mathew 13:44. -- You must Discover, then you Develop. What next? DISPLAY! Another word, should be, PERFORM! Yet, another word will be SHINE! So..
3. The the third D stands for DISPLAY: See this:-
*"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath FOUND, he HIDETH, and for joy thereof goeth and SELLETH ALL THAT HE HATH, AND BUYETH THAT FIELD."* (Matthew 13:44 (KJV))
First, the kingdom is likened unto a hidden treasure. Then, the kingdom is also developed by those who find it. A necessary outcome of both discovery and developing kingdom potentials and purposes, is kingdom manifestation or showing forth! This is the end goal that God desires for every disciple. Manifestation or shining is the place of bearing fruits. Discovery, and development must end with much fruits bearing. No kingdom citizen is permitted to be an exception. See this:-
*Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; SO SHALL YE BE my disciples.* (John 15:8 (KJV))
There is no option of choosing NOT to bear fruits and still be a disciple of Jesus. The proof of your sonship and discipleship lies in your bearing much fruits, that shining your light! You can't lay claim to kingdom discovery, and development, without displaying same. The man Found (discovery). Then he hid it. (Development) You can't rush that phase. When he has sold all that he had, he then developed enough capital to purchase the field wherein the treasure was. That purchase of the field is the display of his dreams!
Once again, the same pattern is applicable in every other aspect of life. Your commitment to development after discovery MUST bring about a "Display". No discovery is genuine until you commit to development and no development is genuine until you begin to "Display!" When you discover what your life ought to be, you must commit to developing yourself in that direction until you become a display for others to see what the Kingdom should be like.
When you discover God's plans for your prosperity, relationship, health, marriage, etc then you must begin to commit yourself towards the development of those aspects. And don't stop until you become a living evidence that those kingdom potentials and purposes can actually become a reality! Don't stop until you work past discovery, development and up to displaying what God has called you.
_MEDITATION:_
*"If you are hungry enough, once you start discovering and developing, you must get to a point where you begin to display. It is true, that "if you focus on your focus, you will become a focus""*

*THREE D'S OF HIGH ACHIEVERS* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter."* (Proverbs 25:2 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The kingdom of God does not respect those who are not ready to embark on a quest for discovery & development of all that pertains to life and godliness! We continue with the three D's that we can learn from Mathew 13:44.
2. The second D stands for DEVELOP: *"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth,"* The kingdom is likened unto a hidden treasure. The kingdom is also developed by those who find it. The justification for finding the kingdom, is your commitment to develop the kingdom.
The kingdom is discovered and thereafter developed. You develop the habits and responsibilities of the kingdom. Your finding the kingdom is not complete until you continue in developing into the Kingdom. The man who discovered the treasure had to hide it again for a purpose. It is likened to hiding the truth of God in your heart that you may not sin against God. *Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.* (Psalms 119:11 (KJV) )
Please understand that the Kingdom is in word and power (1 Cor 4:20, 1Thess 1:5) The power in the word is discovered when you have committed yourself to develop the word of God in your life.
This same pattern is applicable in every other aspect of life. You must commit to development after discovery. No discovery is genuine until you commit to development. When you discover what your life ought to be, you must commit to developing yourself in that direction. When you discover your place in soul winning, discipleship and fellowship with God, then DEVELOP yourself in that direction.
When you discover God's plans for your prosperity, relationship, health, marriage, etc then you must begin to commit yourself towards the Development of those aspects. Again, your level of hunger will drive your level of commitment towards your development.
_MEDITATION:_
*"So many people DISCOVER their potential & purpose in God and life but not as many commit themselves to DEVELOP their potential & purpose in God and life. There are equal potential but the development of it makes the difference. High achievers spend more in the DEVELOPMENT of their potentials and purposes."*
