*THE POWER OF POSITIVE FEAR* (I)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"They have no fear of God at all.""* (Romans 3:18 (NLT))
_Bible Insight:_
"I will pray, I will pray
I will pray o, I will pray
If I don't pray, Satan will make mess of me" -- Ebuka
The first time I heard the lyrics of this song by Ebuka, I was a little uncomfortable with it. It was not in sync with my growth level then.
Lately, the song came up in my spirit. As my custom is, when some songs rise up within me, I will download it if I don't have it, and play it for a while. Sometimes, I could spend some time searching for the song till I get it.
So I found this song by Ebuka and began to sing and pray. It immediately began to bless me. After a while, a conversation rose up within me.
Voice 1: But are you not praying because you are afraid of what the devil might do or because of the negative consequences of not praying? 🤨
Voice 2: Don't you remember what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:16 (KJV)? *"For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!"* So he preached and did ministry as effectively as he did, because the fear of God upon his life convinced him that he was doomed if he doesn't preach as much as he did! Yes! Fear is also God's way of leading his children!
I immediately saw the light in this matter. God's people must have the fear of God, this positive fear, otherwise, they are not God's people!
The fear of God places you in alignment with God's commandments. You know you have to keep His word, because you know consequences await if you don't. *The presence of the fear of God does not and cannot equal the absence of the love of God.* Rather, the fear of God, gives expression and evidence of your love for God. Your love for God is actually spelled as fear of God, as far as God is concerned.
Do you have the fear of God at all?
_MEDITATION:_
*"If you check your life, and you discover that you no longer fear God, the beginning of the end of your faith walk has just began! Covet the fear of God in and upon your life."*

*THE POWER OF CONSISTENCY*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? They'll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place!" Going back to the vision, the Messenger-Angel said, "The seven lamps are the eyes of GOD probing the dark corners of the world like searchlights."* (Zechariah 4:10 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
*"It’s not the last strike that fells the tree. It’s the sum total of all strikes that do. We like the big and spectacular but that’s not how life works. Commit to doing some things daily and then it accumulates.
Commit to:
1) reading one chapter of the Bible daily.
2) reading one chapter of any other book daily or subscribe to Blinkist and read one book summary Daily. They even give you one book summary free everyday.
3) commit to praying for 15 minutes daily.
4) commit to running N1,000 per day ad to your website daily.
The law of compounding effort works. It’s the 8th wonder of the world."* --- Nkwocha Tochukwu
Don't just aim to do great things, aim to do small things greatly! If you only wait for when the big breaks will come, and keep waiting for the best days of your life to come, you will discover that you have limited yourself on the long run. And what if the big breaks never comes like you had expected? But if you live each day doing everything that comes your way, with great passion, great faith, great expectations, surely though gradually, your big breaks will emerge.
God in His wisdom, has placed the small things as disguised packages for the great things of life. It is such an irony. Who will ever imagine that the baby born in a manger in the middle of no where, will be the saviour of the world? Don't ever underestimate or undermine the so called little things of and in your life.
Once again, don't just aim to do great things, aim to do small things greatly, excitedly, daily and consistently. And as you do, before you know it, greatness will emerge.
_MEDITATION:_
*"It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It's what we do consistently."* -- Anthony Robbins

*LEONARD RAVENHILL* (V)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth."* (Isaiah 62:6-7 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
To such men as this the church owes a debt too heavy to pay. The curious thing is that she seldom tries to pay him while he lives, but the next generation builds his sepulcher and writes his biography, as if instinctively and awkwardly to discharge an obligation the previous generation to a large extent ignored.
Those who know Leonard Ravenhill will recognize in him the religious specialist, the man sent from God not to carry on the conventional work of the church, but to beard the priests of Baal on their own mountaintop, to shame the careless priest at the altar, to face the false prophet and warn the people who are being led astray by him.
Such a man as this is not an easy companion. The professional evangelist who leaves the wrought-up meeting as soon as it is over to hie him to the most expensive restaurant to feast and crack jokes with his retainers will find this man something of an
embarrassment, for he cannot turn off the burden of the Holy Ghost as one would turn off a faucet. He insists upon being a Christian all the time, everywhere; and again, that marks him out as different.
Toward Leonard Ravenhill it is impossible to be neutral. His acquaintances are divided pretty neatly into two classes, those who love and admire him out of all proportion and those who hate him with perfect hatred. And what is true of the man is sure to be true of his books, of this book(Why Revival Tarries). The reader will either close its pages to seek a place of prayer or he will toss it away in anger, his heart closed to its warnings and
appeals.
_MEDITATION:_
*"What kind of person will you be remembered for? A person whose life brought unforgettable impact in this life unto God's glory? Or someone who just passed this earth without any eternal contributions?"* - E.D.J.

*DAILY DEW 30/JANUARY/2023*
*LEONARD RAVENHILL* (IV)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."* (Matthew 3:1-3 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Great industrial concerns have in their employ men who are needed only when there is a break-down somewhere. When something goes wrong with the machinery, these men spring into action to locate and remove the trouble and get the machinery rolling again.
For these men a smoothly operating system has no interest. They are specialists concerned with trouble and how to find and correct it. In the kingdom of God things are not too different. God has always had His specialists whose chief concern has been the moral breakdown, the decline in the spiritual health of the nation or the church. Such men were Elijah, Jeremiah, Malachi, and others of their kind who appeared at critical moments in history to reprove, rebuke, and exhort in the name of God and righteousness.
A thousand or ten thousand ordinary priests or pastors or teachers could labor quietly
almost unnoticed while the spiritual life of Israel or the church was normal. But let the people of God go astray from the paths of truth, and immediately the specialist appeared almost out of nowhere. His instinct for trouble brought him to the help of the Lord and of
Israel.
Such a man was likely to be drastic, radical, possibly at times violent, and the curious crowd that gathered to watch him work soon branded him as extreme, fanatical,
negative. And in a sense they were right. He was single-minded, severe, fearless, and these were the qualities the circumstances demanded. He shocked some, frightened others, and alienated not a few, but he knew who had called him and what he was sent to
do. His ministry was geared to the emergency, and that fact marked him out as different, a man apart.
_MEDITATION:_
