*DAILY DEW 18TH/AUGUST/2021* *HAUNTING SHADOWS?* _Key Bible Text:_ *Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.* (Psalms 37:5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ You have been left behind, thrown away, forsaken or neglected. Everyone around you have left you with your problem that you think you can't or can solve yourself. So what can you do to be free indeed? What can you do to let all this problems got solved? How can it be that your heart will be clean and have rest of mind indeed? I hear some people say, when I get married I will have peace🤷‍♂️, when I have a job that pays well I will be satisfied 🤷‍♂️, when I have a child my mind will be at rest. Hmmm Do you think that is the real source of peace and satisfaction? You confess that you have received Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, but it is as if you are still dwelling in sin and old habits. You even came to the stage that you hated yourself in everything you do that makes you ask yourself *what is life?* You don't even understand what is happening to you. Hear the Word of the Lord in the book of Isaiah 1:18 & 19. It says, *"Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"* Have you been dreaming and aiming for a better future and a greater current present? You need to *"come now and reason with God"*. God is calling you today through His only begotten son, commit your ways unto Him (God), *trust Him* and serve Him wholeheartedly. *Stop chasing shadows, stop worrying over your past mistakes. If any man be in Christ, He is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Let the old things pass away in your life and serve God with everything with you and on you. *DAILY DEW 11TH/AUGUST /2021* *YOU'LL RECEIVE THE PROMISE* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:* (Hebrews 6:16-17 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ In law Courts, all evidence must be confirmed by an Oath. The commissioner for Oath, signed and acknowledges the depositions whether by way of Affidavit or by witness statements. When matters are to be determined by affidavit evidence, the depositions alone without oral evidence suffices. However, when matters require oral evidence, the witness statements must also be relied on and thereby adopted. Indeed "an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife". Should the opposing party fail to file a contradictory counter affidavit or defensive statement on Oath, the matter is surely held in favour of the Applicant or Claimant, who have brought in his evidence under Oath. When God made a promise to Abraham, he sealed His promise under Oath by no greater authority except himself. God's infallibility can be trusted. His word is indeed the confirmation and end of all strife. No strife can last beyond the promise of God. No sickness, no infirmity, no devil can protest beyond the confirmation of God's word. *DAILY DEW 4TH/AUGUST /2021* *BE DILIGENT* _Key Bible Text:_ *And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.* (Hebrews 6:11-12 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Diligence is key to success. Man knows it. God knows it even more. Man demands it. God demands it even more. Without diligence, we would be nothing and will achieve nothing. Personal diligence is key to good personal success. Hebrews 6:10 praises the labour of love fueled by desire to glorify the name of Christ. Hebrews 6:11 advocates for *each person* to show the same diligence in labouring in love and ministering to the saints for Christ sake. Plato said, *"Prefer diligence before idleness, unless you esteem rust above brightness."* If we must let our lights shine either in business or in service of God or in anything worthwhile, we must practice being diligent. Samuel Johnson, said *"what we ever hope to do with ease, we must first learn to do with diligence."* Unless we master a skill by diligence, we will never become comfortable at exercising that skill. Masters do what they know to do best with ease. Only because they had been diligent! Are you? *DAILY DEW 28TH/JULY/2021* *REACH A POINT OF NO RETURN* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *And then they abandoned their faith! It is impossible to bring them back to repent again, because they are again crucifying the Son of God and exposing him to public shame.* (Hebrews 6:6 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ After knowing or experiencing the following basic teachings:- 1) principles of the doctrine of Christ; 2) the foundation of repentance from dead works; 3) faith toward God; 4) the doctrine of baptisms; 5) laying on of hands; 6) resurrection of the dead; 7) eternal judgment. You actually move to the more deeper teachings, namely: 1) being enlightened in the things of God (i.e. receiving light in the ways of God); 2) tasted of the heavenly gift; 3) made partakers of the Holy Ghost; 4) tasted the good word of God; and 5) the powers of the world to come. These are depths that once a believer reaches ought to continue in its realities and practice. By so doing, falling away from the faith becomes impossible. It is only when a believer does not appreciate these aspects of the faith (i.e. both the fundamental and the deeper principles) that falling away becomes possible. Also a believer does not just simply attain these aspects but continuously grows in them and daily practices its implications and realities. Being enlightened in the word for instance, is not a one-of thing. We daily grow in the light of God's word. Likewise experiencing the powers of the age should come, shouldn't be one-of. There is no way a believer will key into these that he would ever find himself looking back or crucifying Christ again. *MEDITATION:* *And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. *DAILY DEW 21ST/JULY/2021* *The Fundamentals of the Faith* (V) _Key Bible Text:_ *Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and OF RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, and of eternal judgment.* (Hebrews 6:2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ This is a past reality, a present reality and a future reality: the resurrection of the dead. Jesus is described as the first born of the dead in Colossians 1:18 (KJV)-- *"And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, THE FIRSTBORN FROM THE DEAD; that in all things he might have the preeminence."* This points to the fact that he is the first to have victory over death, a permanent resurrection from the dead without ever dying again. The doctrine of the resurrection of the dead is one of the fundamental teachings of Jesus. Most anti christ religions always make this subject their greatest concern. They don't like to accept this truth so they fight it with everything they have. Paul further argued extensively that if there is no resurrection of the dead, then christianity is a hoax, a religious scam to keep men under control. He didn't use these words but that's effectively what he means: *For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.* (1 Corinthians 15:16-19 (KJV)) It is the power of resurrection that guarantees our victory over sin. The transforming power of God is continually working out itself in us, giving us newness of life, salvation from sin, salvation from sicknesses and diseases, etc. All of these flows from the power of the Holy Spirit which is able to make alive, to quicken and to restore. *MEDITATION:* *But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
