*PURSUE THE WORD*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:30-31 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Pursue the study of God's word like it's your first time. What births a transformation is repetitive learning.
Don't ever stop being a student of the gospel of Christ's death and resurrection, by which we have become new creatures in Him! Keep it fresh in your memory. Hang it around your neck. Cherish it. Dwell in it till it propels a lifestyle of gratitude to God and bearing witness to others about the largesse of His grace.
Be a student of the word! Dip your heart in God's Heart!
You said you will study your bible and pray everyday but you missed a day or two and you gave up.
A lot has been said about consistency but do you know that consistency is also about CONTINUING even when you fail sometimes? Learn to CONTINUE from where you STOPPED. Amen
_MEDITATION:_
*Wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, redemption, etc are all written in the Word, who is Jesus. You can't get deep into these if you don't pursue the word. Pursue the Word* -- David Joshua Egbochuo

*PRESERVED IN JESUS CHRIST*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and PRESERVED IN JESUS CHRIST, and called" (Jude 1:1 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
To preserve is to maintain (something) in its original or existing state.
The Bible teaches us that we are preserved IN Jesus Christ. We are "kept safe by Jesus Christ" (Message) or "keeps you safe in the care of Jesus Christ" (NLT) or "kept for Jesus Christ" (Amplified/NIV)
It is therefore evident that our preservation or safety is BY, IN, & FOR Jesus Christ. Let's meditate and ponder on this.
Your preservation or safety is not BY any other than Jesus Christ. This means of yourself you can't keep or preserve yourself. Only BY Jesus can we be kept. In deed, we are "kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." (1 Peter 1:5 (KJV))
We are kept IN Christ Jesus. Jesus is the Living Word of God, and our preservation and safety is assured as we continue IN Him! John 8:31-32 (KJV) says this *"If ye continue in MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you FREE."*
OUTSIDE of Jesus (The WORD), we are neither preserved not safe. (Romans 11:21, 22; Acts 30:32) Our preservation is only guaranteed as we continue and remain in the Word.
Finally, we are kept FOR Jesus Christ. It is to the glory and use and pleasure of Jesus Christ that we are kept. We are not kept for personal aggrandizement or selfish reasons. We are kept for Christ. Not for our own selves but for His name sake and his glory, and kingdom advancement. God's "selfishness" is only in our best interest, but our selfishness is to our ruin. (Hebrew 12:10)
_MEDITATION:_

*SANCTIFIED BY GOD THE FATHER* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.*
(Acts 20:32 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Take a close consideration of the following statements of Jesus:-
John 10:36 (KJV): *"Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?"*
John 17:19 (KJV) *"And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth."*
The earlier John 10:36, was Jesus clearly saying that the Father has already sanctified him. But in John 17:19. He said he sanctifies himself. 🤔
Follow me. Jesus by the above demonstrated the two fold dimensions of sanctification. The first is the work of the Father to the son. The second is the work of the son, for the sake of all who will believe and follow him.
The second is only possible when the first has been settled. The first is constant but for us, the second is a variable that requires obedience. Just as Jesus had himself to learn obedience through the things he suffered.
Take a look again at Acts 20:32... The word of God's grace is (re)commended to us, because we are to be built up by the word through obedience. Obedience to the word gives us access to our inheritance among those that are sanctified. Look at that! Just look at that!
So apart from the first fold sanctification, we must continue in obedience, if we are to have access and right to our inheritance in Christ.
_MEDITATION:_
*Our sanctification in Christ is only a means to an end. Our continuous obedience to God's word, secures our place of inheritance among the sanctified. We are sanctified by the Father, so we can continue to sanctify ourselves through obedience to God's word*

*SANCTIFIED BY GOD THE FATHER* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"First, Christ said, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or burnt offerings or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them†(though they are required by the law of Moses). Then he said, “Look, I have come to do your will.†He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect. For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time."*
(Hebrews 10:8â€-‬10 (NLT))
_Bible Insight:_
To understand sanctification, we need to understand it with the insight from the Old Testament.
When Jesus came to die, he was actually providing another better and superior alternative to the sin problem.
This came about by canceling the first process that involved animal sacrifices. These were used as a way to sanctify the sinner. But it worked only as a temporary measure.
Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice which those animal sacrifices heralded. Jesus was the real source of sanctification. By his death and his blood, we secure sanctification in Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 10:10 (KJV) speak of the sacrifice of Jesus, his laying down his life according to God's will, as that *"By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."*
This is the foundation of our sanctification experience. This is the access point to our sanctification process. This is the first fold of sanctification. Without this first fold, no amount of works or obedience will further ensure sanctification.
However, once we have entered the experience of sanctification through Christ, we are by the same requirements of sanctification, expected to take it a step further, which is the second fold.
_MEDITATION:_
*For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren* (Hebrews 2:10-11 (KJV))

*SANCTIFIED BY GOD THE FATHER*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called."* (Jude 1:1 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
*"Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?"*
In John 10:36, that was what Jesus asked the Jews who wanted to stone him for making himself equal with God by claiming he was the son of God.
The point for me is that Jesus regarded himself as *"him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world."*
Truly, that is the reality everyone who claims to follow Jesus must have. *We are those whom the Father had sanctified and sent into this world of sin and corruption.*
When you consider the meaning of sanctification, you will realize that if we were not in this decaying world, we won't be in need of sanctification.
Sanctification is therefore a must for every follower of Jesus, who have been saved. To be sanctified is to be made holy, and set aside for sacred or ceremonial use.
Your sanctification is a big deal for God. If Jesus was sanctified, none of us will do without sanctification.
A close scrutiny at scriptures will reveal that sanctification is two fold. And this we shall study more of as God gives us grace.
_MEDITATION:_
*The church is not a theological classroom. It is a conversion, confession, repentance, reconciliation, forgiveness and sanctification center, where flawed people place their faith in Christ, gather to know and love him better, and learn to love others as he designed.* -- Paul David Tripp.

*“HE ANOINTS MY HEAD WITH OIL"*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."* (Psalms 23:5 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
I always wondered what this part of Psalm 23 meant. I thought “He anoints my head with oil†was figurative language for God keeping the Psalmist healthy. I never knew this parallel.
Sheep can get their head caught in briers and die trying to get untangled. There are horrid little flies that like to torment sheep by laying eggs in their nostrils which turn into worms and drive the sheep to beat their head against a rock, sometimes to death. Their ears and eyes are also susceptible to tormenting insects.
So, the shepherd anoints their whole head with oil. Then there is peace. That oil forms a barrier of protection against the evil that tries to destroy the sheep.
Do you have times of mental torment? Do worrisome thoughts invade your mind over and over? Do you beat your head against a wall trying to stop them? Have you ever asked God to anoint your head with oil? He has an endless supply! His oil protects and makes it possible for you to fix your heart, mind, and eyes on Him today and always! There is peace in the valley! May our good Father anoint your head with oil today so that your cup overflows with blessings! God is good and He is faithful!!â€
_MEDITATION:_

*RAISE A PRAYER ALTAR FOR MISSIONARIES*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God's mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God's ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should."* (Ephesians 6:19-20 (NLT))
_Bible Insight:_
GO into the world and be involved in MISSIONS.
Even if you can't, for certain reasons, PLEASE PRAY FOR MISSIONARIES. They seem to be the target of the enemy as we speak.
Pray for:
Safety & Provision, among others.
We need your prayers NOW than before.
The GOSPEL needs to be preached at all cost but it doesn't have to be by the blood of men when it could be averted.
Hearing of the transition of missionaries from all around the world, on mission fields, is capable of weakening the resilience of others.
Please PRAY FOR MISSIONARIES.
Please GIVE TO MISSIONS.
Please GO FOR MISSIONS.
I speak as one who has a FIRSTHAND experience of what missionaries go through to make sure the GOSPEL is preached to the unreached.
May the LORD give the Church understanding and cause the LIGHT of the GOSPEL to spread beyond our laxity in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

*CALLED TO PRAY FOR THE NATIONS-- SUDAN* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel."* (Ephesians 6:18-19 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
PRAY FOR SUDAN-
For families in Sudan, holding on to hope at present is a great challenge. Those stepping out of their front door do not know whether they will return alive.
Please pray for safety for those living with fear. Local church leaders tell Open Doors that the climate of fear is now being fanned by politicians. Voices from the old Bashir regime are now openly suggesting the move to democracy was an error, and that the only peace now lies in a return to the authoritarian rule of the past.
Please pray that the Sudanese people reject these voices. Local church leaders ask that we pray for justice and healing – and an outcome that does not open the way for more radical Islamist groups.
Please pray that the Sudanese people continue to fight for a government that respects human rights, freedom of worship and dignity for all.

*CALLED TO PRAY FOR THE NATIONS-- SUDAN* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"I want you to know how glad I am that it's me sitting here in this jail and not you. There's a lot of suffering to be entered into in this world--the kind of suffering Christ takes on. I welcome the chance to take my share in the church's part of that suffering."* (Colossians 1:24 (The Message))
_Bible Insight:_
“Christians in Sudan are always vulnerable,†notes Fikiru Mehari, a field researcher with the Christian charity Open Doors in East Africa, “and now, they are even more vulnerable.â€
Open Doors ranks Sudan at number ten on it’s World Watch List - making Sudan the 10th most dangerous country in the world to be a Christian.
Conversion from Islam to Christianity no longer means the death penalty – but it does means shame and hostility. Christian converts are often thrown out of their own homes and communities, or disinherited by parents.
“Now we have a situation, in this violence, where Christian converts may be trapped, or locked up, with family members who may be deeply abusive to them,†Mehari points out. â€It is a situation of huge concern, particularly for women.â€
Financial vulnerability is a further issue. Employment discrimination against Christians is a fact of life in Sudan. “When you apply for a job, they will openly ask you at interview, what is your religion?†says Mehari. “Many times that translates into only precarious employment, and no permanent means of income. It is likely that the majority of Christians will not have that cushion of savings to fall back on.â€
When life becomes a desperate hunt for food, medicine or fuel, those without savings will face harrowing choices.
