The seed that falls by the wayside represents those who hear God's word but don't understand or internalize it. The birds that devour the seed symbolize Satan's attempts to steal God's word from our hearts. When we don't grasp or apply God's message, we become vulnerable to spiritual attacks and distractions. Do not assume that the satan that steals the word from our hearts come as satan. He comes sometimes as thoughts, sometimes as friends, sometimes as social media analytics and critics, sometimes as mood swings even, etc. This parable emphasizes the importance of: - *Receptivity*: Being open and receptive to God's word. - *Understanding*: Grasping the meaning and significance of God's message. - *Application*: Putting God's word into practice to bear fruit.
