*DAILY DEW 22/JULY/2025* *Trusting God Even In the Storms* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?"* (Mark 4: 37-38) _Bible Insight_ In Mark 4:37-38, Jesus and his disciples encounter a great storm on the lake while crossing in a ship. The disciples, fearing for their lives, wake Jesus, who is sleeping, and ask if he cares that they perish. This passage highlights the contrast between Jesus' calm trust in God and the disciples' fear and doubt. Faith in the Midst of Turmoil The disciples' question, "Master, carest thou not that we perish?" reveals their lack of faith in Jesus' ability to care for them in the midst of the storm. This incident teaches the importance of trusting Jesus, even when circumstances seem overwhelming. Jesus' Power over Nature The passage sets the stage for Jesus' demonstration of power over nature, as he calms the storm. This miracle showcases Jesus' divine authority and ability to bring peace and safety to those who trust him. In conclusion, the story of the storm on the lake teaches the importance of trusting Jesus in the midst of life's challenges. It encourages believers to have faith in Jesus' power and care, even when circumstances seem impossible. By trusting Jesus, believers can experience peace and safety, knowing that he is in control. _MEDITATION_ *"Some storms come our way despite our obedience to God.
