David Joshua Egbochuo  29th June, 2025

*DAILY DEW 26/JUNE/2025* *SABBATH'S PURPOSE* (2) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched [it] out: and his hand was restored whole as the other."* (Mark 3: 4-5) _Bible Insight_ Jesus challenges the Pharisees' rigid interpretation of Sabbath law, emphasizing the importance of doing good and saving life. Jesus' response highlights the need for compassion and mercy over strict adherence to rules and traditions. The Pharisees' silence and hardness of heart grieve Jesus, demonstrating the dangers of spiritual stubbornness and resistance to God's work. We also ought to be troubled by the hardness of our owns hearts or the hearts of others. Are we indifferent towards spiritual stubbornness and resistance to the work of the Spirit of God in the lives of men? _Key points to Apply:_ - *Prioritize compassion*: Show mercy and kindness, especially on days of worship. - *Balance rules and relationships*: Avoid letting rules overshadow relationships and genuine care. - *Beware of spiritual stubbornness*: Stay open to God's work and guidance. Keep a soft and child-like heart and spirit. Reject signs of stubbornness and indifference towards God's word and work! _MEDITATION:_ *"One of the tragedies of life and stumbling block to God's work, is when people refuse to repent or fail to allow God's word break into their hearts and impact them for the better. When last did you repent from something the word of God condemned?!"* *#DavidJoshuaEgbochuo* *#Mr_Positive_Impact* *#Daily_Wisdom_for_living* *#Becoming_More_Like_Jesus* *#The_Rise_of_An_Army* *#Daily_Dew_Devotional* *#Hello_June,2025* ❤ *Facebook Link:* https://www.facebook.com/share/1ZXrcgLmwm/ Please follow *David Joshua Egbochuo* on Facebook for more positive impact contents.
