Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home."* (John 19: 26 - 27 (KJV)) _Bible Insight_ Jesus' final act of love and care before His death on the cross was to ensure the well-being of His mother, Mary. By entrusting her to the care of the beloved disciple, John, Jesus demonstrated His deep concern for those He loved. This act of provision and responsibility highlights Jesus' character as a loving and selfless Son. This passage also underscores the importance of family and community in the life of a believer. Jesus' instruction to John to care for Mary as his own mother emphasizes the value of adopting and caring for one another as members of God's family.
