Worldly wisdom is commendable to those subject to the fallen adamic nature. Your not being praised and recognized, sometimes, is a sign that you are operating by a standard higher than the prevalent fallen standard of this world. Don't be on the look out for worldly applause, but seek God's approval. The world we live in is fast becoming populated by ungodly standards and preferences. Hence, sometimes, even those who do righteousness suffer unjustly. Those who despise depravity of men's heart are on God's side.
