*DAILY DEW 17/NOVEMBER/2023* *Achan and Rahab* (1) _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel."* (Joshua 7:1 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ I want to tell you a story about two different people. Both stories come from the Old Testament and provide a contrast in behavior that I want to use in describing our relationship with the Holy Spirit. Two stories. Two different people. One was hiding something, and the other was hiding someone. One had a promising future, and the other faced certain doom. One was a soldier, while the other was a prostitute. One destroyed his family, while the other saved her family. One brought defeat to the nation while the other was used to save the nation. You have probably figured out who I am talking about – Achan and Rahab. These stories happened simultaneously in the Book of Joshua. While their stories happen in the same place and time, these individuals couldn’t be more different from each other.
