*DAILY DEW 17/APRIL/2023* *RECEIVING THE TEACHINGS OF YOUR PASTOR - (VIII)* _Key Bible Text:_ *For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears* (2 Timothy (4:3)) _Bible Insight:_ Your inability to receive from your Pastor does not only affect you, it affects what the Pastor can let out and other people in the audience could suffer it too. The Hebrew believers needed the teachings of their Pastor to grow. And since they weren't getting it they remained babies, continually needing what they ought to have outgrown. It's the Pastor that determines what the people need and teaches them. When the people begin to prefer something other than what they're fed, it results in what Paul was telling Timothy - inability to endure sound doctrine, lust and itchy for convenient theology and teachers. 1 Corinthians 3:1-2 [1]And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. [2]I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. Give your Pastor your ears and heart so the doctrine and instruction from God to you through him will not be lost. God will lead and feed you through your Pastor, not necessarily every Pastor out there (Heb 13:17). Be planted in your local Church and stick with your Pastor. Jumping everywhere to hear the latest revelations will only confuse you and expose you to deception.
