*DAILY DEW 6/JANUARY/2023* *The Last Days in The New Year* _Key Bible Text:_ *Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron* (1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ With every new year celebrated, the manifestation of the last days become more severe. As you grow older, you are getting closer to the last days. One day, there will indeed be a LAST DAY! That day will be either the day you die, or the day rapture takes place. But ultimately, there is going to be a definite last day sooner than later. Therefore, every serious believer of the Gospel and follower of Jesus, must regularly review the signs that mark the last days, even as every new year emerge. We shall review the Bible, primarily the Letters to Timothy, to spot what God said about the last days. This will remind us of pit falls to avoid and be aware of. So many are already under the attack of the spirit of the last days but they are unaware and ill prepared. The first place of preparation is the place of knowledge and conscious examination of one self. This will forestall the penetration and effect of the spirit of the last days. *"The Spirit says clearly that some people will abandon the faith in later times; they will obey lying spirits and follow the teachings of demons"* , Good news bible rendition makes it clear. Pls note that this abandonment of the faith will take both overt and covert dimensions.
