*DAILY DEW 21/JUNE/2022* *UNDERSTANDING PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM:Seeds of Destiny* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And he said to them, If you are not clear about this story, how will you be clear about the others? The seed is the word."* (Mark 4:13-14 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ Our focus will now be on non-obvious seeds that are critical in destiny determination _Types of seeds_ (Cont'd) 3. THE WORD OF GOD IS A SEED!! The Word of God is a seed. And it produces after its kind. You can plant the Word! According to Mark 4:13-14, the key to understanding the parables of Jesus about the Kingdom, is to understand that the Word is a seed! Thus, it can be planted. *_And he gave them teaching about a number of things in the form of stories, and said to them in his teaching, Give ear: A man went out to put seed in the earth: And while he was doing it, some was dropped by the wayside, and the birds came and took it for food. And some went on the stones, where it had not much earth; and it came up straight away, because the earth was not deep: And when the sun was high, it was burned; and because it had no root, it became dry and dead. And some went among the thorns, and the thorns came up, and it had no room for growth and gave no fruit._* (Mark 4:2-7) The seeds being planted in the story is the Word of God. There are always four types of places into which the seed of the Word of God may be planted. The first three are as follows:- 1.Wayside, 2.Stones (rock), and 3. Thorns. All three places do not allow for the growth of the seed of the Word. However, there is a fourth-- The good earth/ground! *"And some, falling on good earth, gave fruit, coming up and increasing, and giving thirty, sixty, and a hundred times as much. And he said to them, Whoever has ears, let him give ear."* (Mark 4:8-9) The Farmer could be your Pastor, an evangelist in the bus, a friend or counselor. YOUR response to the Word you hear, determines whether you belong to any of the first three or the good earth/ground! _MEDITATION:_ Say with me today: *“IT IS UP TO ME TO BE A GOOD GROUND FOR THE SEED OF GOD'S WORD.
