*DAILY DEW 5/JULY/2022* *SOWING AND REAPING* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Then he taught them many things by using stories. He said: A farmer went out to scatter seed in a field. While the farmer was scattering the seed, some of it fell along the road... Other seeds fell on thin, rocky ground... Some other seeds fell where thornbushes grew up... But a few seeds did fall on good ground where the plants produced a hundred or sixty or thirty times as much as was scattered."* (Matthew 13:3-8 (CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ WHAT'S THE CONDITION OF THE SOIL OF YOUR HEART? WITH WHICH HEART DO YOU RECEIVE GOD'S WORD? What's your receptivity to God's word like? Ephesians 4:23 (KJV) declares, *"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind"* Until you are renewed in the Spirit of your mind, forget it, your mind or heart will not be the right condition that can permit the Word of God to germinate and become productive in your life. How do you ensure that your heart attains the right condition for the Word of God? By giving the Word of God the right to dictate to you and tell you what's right or wrong. In other words, you must uphold the Word of God as the ultimate source of wisdom, while you dethrone and reduce the value you attach to all other sources of counsel and direction for living. When you intentionally look up to the Word for all that patterns to life and godliness, you become vulnerable to the dictates of the Word. God's word will inturn begin to soften your mind more and more as you give more attention and priority to the word. Speak rightly about the Word of God. Mimic the word. Strive to take it seriously and personally. Don't take the word for granted. Otherwise, you won't have the word producing results in your life. Desist from allowing fear to discourage you from taking the Word of God serious. Do what the Word of God says and ignore the fear in your head. Fear will rob you your divine destiny programmed by the Word of God. Finally, speak the word. Live the Word. Meditate on the Word. Speaking the word will make the word become your reality. *DAILY DEW 28/JUNE/2022* *UNDERSTANDING PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM:Seeds of Destiny* (VII) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions), so that when it fails, they [those you have favored] may receive and welcome you into the everlasting habitations (dwellings)."* (Luke 16:9 (Amplified Bible)) _Bible Insight:_ Our focus remains on non-obvious seeds that are critical in destiny determination _Types of seeds_ (Cont'd) 7."MONEY IS A SEED!!" Although money as a seed may have been abused or liable to be abused, the fact still remains that money is a seed. Even Jesus talked about using mammon, (referring to money) to make friends (actually meaning or suggesting to win souls) according to Luke 16:9. You must understand that money is a seed that can bear fruits both in time and eternity. A lot of people invest or sow their money only towards earthly investments. God actually expect every believer to sow or invest money in such a way that attracts both earthly rewards and future heavenly rewards. Money is a seed. Even to make some more money, you need some amount of money first. That's the principle in every business: capital funds must precede profits. How are you investing your money? _MEDITATION:_ *"As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud and arrogant and contemptuous of others, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for [our] enjoyment. The seed is the word."* (Mark 4:13-14 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ Our focus will now be on non-obvious seeds that are critical in destiny determination _Types of seeds_ (Cont'd) 3. THE WORD OF GOD IS A SEED!! The Word of God is a seed. And it produces after its kind. You can plant the Word! According to Mark 4:13-14, the key to understanding the parables of Jesus about the Kingdom, is to understand that the Word is a seed! Thus, it can be planted. *_And he gave them teaching about a number of things in the form of stories, and said to them in his teaching, Give ear: A man went out to put seed in the earth: And while he was doing it, some was dropped by the wayside, and the birds came and took it for food. And some went on the stones, where it had not much earth; and it came up straight away, because the earth was not deep: And when the sun was high, it was burned; and because it had no root, it became dry and dead. And some went among the thorns, and the thorns came up, and it had no room for growth and gave no fruit._* (Mark 4:2-7) The seeds being planted in the story is the Word of God. There are always four types of places into which the seed of the Word of God may be planted. The first three are as follows:- 1.Wayside, 2.Stones (rock), and 3. Thorns. All three places do not allow for the growth of the seed of the Word. However, there is a fourth-- The good earth/ground! *"And some, falling on good earth, gave fruit, coming up and increasing, and giving thirty, sixty, and a hundred times as much. And he said to them, Whoever has ears, let him give ear."* (Mark 4:8-9) The Farmer could be your Pastor, an evangelist in the bus, a friend or counselor. YOUR response to the Word you hear, determines whether you belong to any of the first three or the good earth/ground! _MEDITATION:_ Say with me today: *“IT IS UP TO ME TO BE A GOOD GROUND FOR THE SEED OF GOD'S WORD. *DAILY DEW 14/JUNE/2022* *You’ll Never Wish You Did Less* _Key Bible Text:_ *And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;* (Revelation 5:9 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The world had never laid eyes on them before. Yet, there they were, in plain sight, for all to see. As photographers in helicopters took pictures of the previously uncontacted or lost tribes of the Amazon rainforest, the fear, amazement, and uncertainty in their faces was unforgettable. Spears were in hand and fingers were pointed upwards. I stared at the picture and contemplated a people and tribe that had lived in isolation from globalization and technological advancement for much of the last two hundred years. For the first time in my life, I looked into the eyes of a people that had most likely never heard (or had a chance to hear) of a Savior named Jesus. They were not unbelieving because they had said no to Jesus, but because they had never had an opportunity to do so. I came to understand these peoples were referred to as “unreached.” They were in existence despite my ignorance. I came to find out this ignorance was shared by the majority of Christians worldwide. *Surprisingly, almost seven out of every ten Christians are unaware of God’s vision for the evangelization of the world, especially among the world’s unreached peoples.* For almost half of my Christian life, I was one of these seven who was unaware of the approximately 8,000 peoples in existence who have never been evangelized. It was not until a cold day in Minneapolis, during a Perspectives on the World Christian Movement class, that I viewed a picture of one of these 8,000 that spoke a thousand words and confronted me with real faces of faithless peoples in need of forgiveness and freedom. _MEDITATION:_ *“We talk of the Second Coming; half the world has never heard of the first."* — Oswald J.
