*DAILY DEW 27/JULY/2023* *HEARD BECAUSE HE FEARED* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared."* (Hebrews 5:7 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Godly fear pleases God. Fear God! Fear His Words! But in addition to that, it is okay to pray because you are afraid. Many times we hear sayings like "don't pray out of fear"! Who says God is afraid or unhappy of our fears when we pray because we are afraid? Prayer by its very design is the invitation of God in the natural because you feel things are either out of control or may become so. We don't pray for praying sake. We pray because WE NEED TO! Blessed are those who KNOW THEY NEED TO PRAY even when it doesn't feel like it! BLESSED is the man or woman whose fears drives him to God in prayer! Don't let no fear take you away from God. Instead, let the fear become your catalyst to pray! Bring all your fears to God in prayer. The only time we ever read of Jesus being afraid, he prayed so much that his sweat became like blood. The only warning is, don't wait till you are afraid before you go to God in prayer. So while it is okay to pray because you are afraid, it is not okay to not pray, because you are not afraid. You get my drift!? Jesus prayed always. He prayed more times when he had nothing to be afraid of. *DAILY DEW 26/JULY/2023* *FAITH MOVED WITH FEAR* 😳 _Key Bible Text:_ *"BY FAITH Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, MOVED WITH FEAR, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."* (Hebrews 11:7 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Faith moved with fear!? That's not possible! How come? I thought faith is the absence of fear!? Oh okay. Well sometimes, not absence. But I seriously thought that faith is the disregard of fear!? Now I know it is not true or rather not always true. Noah would not have been a man of faith if he had not moved with _godly_ fear! God expects a kind of fear when he issues His warnings. This fear is that kind that causes us to obey or comply with His warnings. It is okay if God's warnings produces fear in us. Don't ignore that lingering fear that nugdes you away from disobeying God. Don't downplay that fear that keeps you simple and naive towards sin. Any boldness or wokeness or big boyism or girlism that translates to ignoring the fear that tries to keep you within the limit of God's approval, is straight from the pit of hell. You're not being modern when you ignore such fears that restricts you from doing or appearing evil, but you are being murdered when you do! It is a slow and gradual death of spiritual sensitivity. When it comes to pleasing God, let your fears move you to obey God. Promises, blessings and positive confessions, prayers of blessings and prayers against enemies are usually the focus. Unconsciously we don't take anything else as seriously as we take the above mentioned. However, we must be reminded that God has got a whole lot of warnings for his people too. Be warned. The Bible is also a book of warnings. We may have trained our mind to focus less on warnings in the scripture but that is not healthy for our growth and spiritual security in God. Be warned. God does not only bless or promise blessings, He also warns and rebukes us. Those who take God's blessings and promises to heart while taking God's warnings for granted will surely make a disaster of their lives and spiritual journey in the end. Be warned. Retrain your mind to spot,identify, dissect and internalize God's warnings. Be warned. Begin to associate God's warnings as something positive, useful and life-saving. Stop treating or perceiving godly warnings as harsh, too serious, or too petty or unnecessary. Be warned. If Noah had treated God's warning unseriously He would never have become a hero of faith. Faithful people take God's warnings seriously. *DAILY DEW 24/JULY/2023* *MAXIMIZE YOUR PRIME TIME* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them"* (Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Only God has the right to save the best part of the wine till the last part of the party. Yet, God has actually given us his best part of his plan for man already-- the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus! Many people are however not giving God their best yet and unfortunately wait till they grow old! The prime time of your life means the best years of your life when your strength is still at its peak. In otherwords, the best time to serve the Lord is during your youthful years. God will always have maximum use of those who are still in their youths than those who are already old or age has caught up with. Don't give God your best time and resources in your latter years when you are well advanced in age. Give God your best time and energy now! Don't wait! Don't procrastinate. Why should you invest your prime time on things that have no eternal rewards? Why will you postpone the best efforts and energy you can give to God and his cause till later!? Don't do it! Time is short so give God your time already. There is no time, so stop delaying this all important decision.
