Otherwise, you have believed in vain."* (1 Corinthians 15:1-2 (NIV)) _Bible Insight:_ Honestly, the way some people read the Bible, you will begin to appreciate why English is compulsory throughout school. From the same book of great sense o, brothers will just be teaching great nonsense. It is painful. Not once in Acts did the Apostles preach the gospel as "God loves you". Go check. What they always said, was *"Jesus died for you and God raised Him up."* • There is the only way to spell God's love - THE CROSS. All other preaching is out of context. *DAILY DEW 9TH/FEBRUARY/2022* *SPIRITUAL HOBBY* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit."* (Ephesians 5:18 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Every believer has a spiritual trigger, for some it could be worship; whenever they spend few minutes listening to an edifying song they quickly get connected and find their spirit activated. For some its prayer; when someone passes by talking in tongues or they are in church that aspect of worship keeps them bound and often after minutes/hours of prayers they would wish the session could be elongated as they would want to excercise themselves more. For some it could be spiritual retreats, camps, vigils, fasting etc. Every genuinely born again must have something that triggers the spirit of God dwelling in them. It is therefore required of the believer to intentionally practice his or her triggers on a daily basis or as more regular as could be. *DAILY DEW 2ND/FEBRUARY/2022* *We are what we behold.* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”* (2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Child of God, when you spend so much time following celebrities and fashionistas on IG and Fb; people who don't put God first - believe me, it has an effect on you. When you post your own pictures, you may do it as a Christian, and with a good heart; BUT, we are what we behold. It is true that our children won't do what we tell them, they will do what they see us do. There is a way I sit on the couch. It is a particular posture. No matter how I first sit, after a few minutes, I will adjust to that posture. One day I asked myself - why is there a covenant between this sitting posture and me? Then I realised my father sits like that on the couch. For many years growing up, I saw him sit like that. Gbam! It became part of me, subconsciously. Without thinking about it, I also now sit like that. *DAILY DEW 26TH/JANUARY/2022* *Faith Series: The Audacity of Faith* _Key Bible Text:_ *"By Faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”* (Hebrews 11:8 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Entering the unknown is not something most people embrace or are happy to do. In the school of Faith, dealing with the unknown is the order of the day. Our God is the God who knows the unknown and with Him, the future is not different from either the present or even the past. He sees the very end from the very beginning. Hence, when He calls us for something to be done, He expects us to embrace the known and the unknown by Faith. When Abram as he then was, was called out by Faith, without knowing where he was heading to, he embraced the task & trusted God more than he trusted himself & his family to help him. As though that was not enough, he still allowed Lot his nephew to go with him. What's that "unknown" that God is calling you to embrace and embark on today? Faith is always daring and audacious enough to take the bulls by its horn. This year, don't only follow the paths well trodden.
