Truth can be medicinal and curative. Truth can come like a stabbing or piecing sword or dagger. Truth can also come like a bitter pill that nevertheless cures when administered. Handle truth with care and skill. This requires being sensitive. Don't speak truth carelessly. You can be unapologetic and at the same time not be unconcerned about the feelings of the hearer. Strive towards balance when handling truth. *DAILY DEW 1/OCTOBER/2024* *'TRUTHFUL AT ALL COST* _Key Bible Text:_ *"He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit."* Proverbs 12:17 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ Being truthful is a key characteristic of righteous people. These days, honesty is not cheap and it is not easy. The truth is becoming not only scarce but dangerous or costly. It can cost you your job if for instance, compromise has become the norm. But God's righteous demands has not and will never change. Only those who think God is a joke will undermine the necessity of honesty in God's kingdom. One of the reasons we must endure hardness as good soldiers of Christ is because we are not expected to hide from the truth or replace the truth with half truths even in the name of being diplomatic. While this message maybe relatively easy to share, living by its disctates is not. Treat anger like fire. You may need it but you are always aware of its danger and always safety conscious. Never take anger like food or water that you cannot survive a day without. Don't gloat in your anger. Don't treat anger like a beautiful woman that easily catches your attention. Rather treat anger like an eyesore you want to get rid off as quickly as possible. Anger can bring you to disrepute and dishonor. When you lose your temper, you lose your credit rating. Get rid of anger as quickly as possible.
