*DAILY DEW 14/JANUARY/2024* The Folly In Man!! 3 _Key Bible Text:_ *"Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up"* (Daniel 3:4-5 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The great zeal mankind put into the pursuit of luxury and vanity is another confirmation of the folly in man! Man's folly lies in his quickness to insist on things that are highly unnecessary and vain glorious. When man get power drunk as he is wont to do, he insists on things that are simply wasteful or like they say, white-elephant-project like. It is disappointing enough that the golden image was built in the first place. Recall that only the head of the image was actually made of Gold and was set to represent the era of this ungrateful King. In his own statue, he built everything of gold. A silent but obvious rebellion and protest that only the head of the image was gold. The entire image should be gold-- hence he built it. In his vain mind, a dream is not as powerful as something really tangible. He thought to "cancel" the dream by building an all gold statue. This is also a quiet attempt at resisting the opportunity for the stone carved out without hands to be able to smash the statue from the weak and maleable clay and iron feet as the dream foretold. The consequences of Nebuchadnezzar's stubborn and foolish ways will eventually catch up with him. *DAILY DEW 13/JANUARY/2024* The Folly In Man!! 2 _Key Bible Text:_ *"Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.* (Daniel 3:1 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The Idea of "The great image" rather than move the King to the worship of God, moved the king to the worship of Gold. What a great folly! Man's folly lies in his quickness to desire more than is necessary; coveteousness. The king would both forget who made Him and also desire to gain more fame, prominence, glory and even worship! This is very much typical of the human nature. The emilokans of this world have tasted it all, but yet they will always want more! To be able to draw the line between covetousness/greed and a healthy desire for more growth and expansion is great gain! Most people do not seem to know where to draw the line. *DAILY DEW 12/JANUARY/2024* The Folly In Man!! _Key Bible Text:_ *"Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible."* (Daniel 2:31 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ "The great image" idea was from a disturbing dream King Nubechadnezzar had. He forgot the dream and needed a revelation of both the dream and the interpretation of it. He got both but unfortunately forgot who revealed the dream or how he got the interpretation. Man's folly lies in his quickness in forgetting who MADE him. Daniel's intervention saved the day. The king had to admit as follows: Daniel 2:47 (KJV) The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Before this, the king also did this:- Daniel 2:46 (KJV) Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him. *DAILY DEW 25/DECEMBER/2023* *Levels of Taking Over Nations* (VII) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."* (Matthew 24:12-13 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ 7. Enduring till the End: Divine End to End encryption. According to wikipedia, End-to-end encryption is a private communication system in which only communicating users can participate. As such, no one, including the communication system provider, telecom providers, Internet providers or malicious actors, can access the cryptographic keys needed to converse. Well, what has that got to do with taking over Nations forcefully!? In the end, it is ultimately being saved from this body of death that matters. (Romans 8:23) The scriptures teaches that *he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.* So there is need for endurance. (See Acts 14:22) There is an end to aim for. And there is a salvation in that end. (Heb 3:6) So after we have done all to ensure we take nations at all levels, this end, must be carefully aimed for and secured. The end to end encryption ensures there is no eavedroping by a third party, or in another sense no interruption of the communication. We too must ensure that in between the point we started believing and following Christ and the point we get to heaven or to enjoy eternal life with him forever, we keep the faith, goal and endurance till the very end. To take over nations forcefully, is not a sprint but a marathon. And it is not a life of comfort or conformity with the common. It is a life of being comfortable with the uncomfortable and a life of non conformity with the generally acceptable. And while at it, we must have our eyes on the finish line. *1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (KJV) Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.* *And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. *DAILY DEW 24/DECEMBER/2023* *Levels of Taking Over Nations* (VI) _Key Bible Text:_ *"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."* (2 Timothy 2:2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ 6. Enlisting to win others This flows from a lifestyle of service. You cannot serve successfully until you begin to win others who will do likewise. This is not just winning souls per se. This is "winning" soul winners. The difference is the same found in fishing and raising fishermen. This is the level of taking over nations where you rise to be like a captain over other soldiers who are bent on winning souls. Until we get to this level, we still have a long way to go. This should actually be the goal we all should aim for. To come to a point where we don't just go out to win souls but we raise others to join us in doing the same. This is God's wisdom in taking over nations. Jesus came, not just as a soul winner but as a winner of soul winners. No wonder he said, "follow me and I will make you fishers of men". If we are maturing in being like Christ, we need to get to a point where we can say the same or at least live the same way-- that when men follow you, they become fishers of men!
