*DAILY DEW 25/SEPTEMBER/2022* *THE WORD BECOMING FLESH* (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."* (Genesis 1:1-2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ So while Moses from the angle of God's back writes that "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth; John is bold and declares "in the beginning, was the Word!" What Moses is saying is that "God created you, and formed you", but what John shows us clearly is that God turns around gazes at his creation and says..."Before I created you, I loved you". Thus Genesis relates creation to formation, but John relates creation to election. Election is not secondary to creation. Election is primary. We were not chosen before we were created. We were created because we had been chosen. We are not special because we are male or female, black or white, tall or short. No. We are special because we are loved. We have always been loved. Before the world was. The New Testament precedes the Old Testament. In time, it comes after the Old; but in reality, before there was a creation, in the beginning was the Word. The Old Testament is the shadow of the New, and there cannot be a shadow if the Substance is not already present. We see the Old first, but the New is already present producing that shadow. Therefore we do not count our beginning from earth or from Genesis. We count it from God. We are His children. There is someone reading this and feeling a burning in the heart, and it's because the New Testament is for you. It is because you have never really known that You are not special because you look very beautiful. You are special because God loved you and knew you before you were born, or even had a face to make up. And still does. *DAILY DEW 24/SEPTEMBER/2022* *THE WORD BECOMING FLESH* _Key Bible Text:_ *"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God."* (John 1:1-2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ In Genesis we read that "In the beginning, God created..." But In John, we read "In the beginning, was the Word...". There is a difference between the emphasis of Genesis and the emphasis of John. What we are shown in Genesis is the history of the earth; but in John we are shown the history of the Word. In Genesis, the earth is without the Word; while in John, the Word is outside the earth. In Genesis, God speaks and thus - the earth is replenished and clothed by the Word. In John, the Word is clothed by earth, becomes flesh, and dwells among us. Thus, in Genesis, we become men of the earth, of the dust; for we read that this begat that and that begat this; but in John, we are men of the Word for we are born not of blood, nor of the will of man, nor of the will of the flesh... But of God. Genesis is the crown of Old Testament revelation, and John is the crown of New Testament revelation. What is present, but hidden in the beginning of Creation; is fully revealed in the face of Jesus, the Word of God. *DAILY DEW 23/SEPTEMBER/2022* *THE LOVE WALK* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head, Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first," Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,"* (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (The Message)) _Bible Insight:_ It becomes very difficult to stay angry, hold grudges or refuse to forgive people when you always want them to be saved, receive eternal life, and go to heaven. Like Christ on the Cross and Stephen as he was stoned, you find yourself saying "Father, forgive them." You do this, not because they have not been wicked to you. They have. ..but God has been so kind to you that their wickedness is nothing You do this, not because they have not wounded you. You do this because by His stripes you have been healed You do this not because they are not trying to kill you. They are, but you now have eternal life You become like this not because they are not saying evil things about you. They are, but the blood of Jesus is so much louder that it drowns every other voice, speaking better things concerning you. You become like this not because they have not taken things from you. They have, but what God has given you in Christ far outweighs all that, and no man can take it. You become a lover not because their behaviour is worth it; but because God loves them and sent Jesus to die for them, and that blood is very precious. You find yourself warring less against flesh and blood, and demonstrating how the Lord Christ made an open shew of principalities and powers, triumphing over them in it. You don't return evil with evil, but overcome evil with good. This is not a nursery rhyme, a soap opera, a barbie story or some nice theory. It is the reality of the most powerful force of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost; that we see in the kingdom of God. *DAILY DEW 21/SEPTEMBER/2022* *PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT* _Key Bible Text:_ *"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?"* (Romans 6:1-2 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Many believers do not know that you can pray in English and yet, you are praying in the Spirit. And you can as well pray in tongues, and yet, you are praying in the flesh. Praying in the Spirit does not always mean praying in or with unknown tongues. Praying in tongues is praying WITH the spirit. This is the commonest way to pray IN the Spirit. It means you are praying not with a language known by your mind, but with a spiritual prayer language deposited in your spirit-man. But you see, you can do this in the flesh. It is actually common. When you pray in tongues in unrepentance, or with envy, jealousy, hate or unforgiveness etc in your heart; that is praying in the flesh. You are praying in unknown tongues, with your spirit, but the Spirit of God is not in it. For you to pray aright with your spirit, you must acknowledge the One who indwells your spirit. You must acknowledge God. You are speaking mysteries to God, the Bible says. It's not just a code or a formula or a rolling of the tongue on the teeth and shaking of the head. No. You are talking to Someone. And if you must fellowship with God deeply, you have to get rid of everything you know which stands in the way. The fact alone that you are 'tonguing' is not enough. You must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Two people are involved. God and you. And if it must be a fellowship in the Spirit, you must align from heart to mouth. Likewise, many times in fellowship with God, the Spirit takes over and directs you to pray in a particular way or for particular people and you know this could never have come from your thinking or mind, yet the whole prayer is in English (or in a language that you speak everyday) Sometimes you are praying in English and mentioning names and places and prayers that don't make sense. I mean, you don't understand what you are saying. Yet the language you are speaking is the one you understand. Some call it prophetic prayer, but it's simply praying in the Spirit. Yes, you can pray in the Spirit in the language you understand. It happens all the time. _MEDITATION:_ *"So, pray often. Pray in tongues often. Pray in the understanding too. Pray with the spirit often. Endeavour to Pray in the Spirit always, whether in tongues or in English or Yoruba etc. Pray before God. Fellowship with Him. *DAILY DEW 6/JULY/2022* *To Be Kind is the goal-- Not Nice* _Key Bible Text:_ *Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.* (Colossians 3:12-13 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Too often nowadays, Christians have taken up the counterfeit version of that sentimental view of love that, of all things, Christians should be nice. Isn't Church about forgiveness? Are Christians not supposed to love others as God does......unconditionally? Well, God is not nice. He is ...............kind. Kind will cleanse a dirty wound. Kind will pour the Spirit on it. Kind will bind it up with the bond of perfection. Kind will give antibiotics and come to check in a few days if you are doing better. Nice? Nice will only pour water on the wound, and that is if you will allow, because methylated spirit will sting. Nice will ask you if you want your wound to be called a wound, and if you say you do not want it so called, because you feel it is just another opening.... Nice will call your wound a second mouth, or a spare nostril. Nice will tell you we have all had wounds, and to single out yours for treatment is hate. And even though it has mostly become a jocular statement, whosoever first said that *"Nice is not a fruit of the Spirit"* Must have been filled with the Spirit of God. God's love is patient. It waits. It forgives. It accommodates. It hopes. It confronts. It rebukes. It chastises. To insist on remaining as you are, is to refuse His love. For God's love is transforming. It is NOT nice. _MEDITATION:_ *"He accepts you as you are, but is passionately unwilling for you to remain the same.
