*DAILY DEW 8/NOVEMBER/2024* *Your Attitude To God's Word* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded."* Proverbs 13:13 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ Jesus used the story of one building on the rock and one building on the sand to illustrate the different attitudes towards his word. You can hear the word, fear the word and obey the word. Or You can hear the word, despise or ignore the word, and disobey the word. Whichever attitude you adopt, is fine until you face the consequences either in time or in eternity or both! It is entirely up to you to decide and work on the kind of attitude you approach God's word with. Don't approach God's word with the following kinds of attitude- 1. Overfamiliarity 2. It does not matter 3. It can't be that serious 4. God understands 5. I am better than my neigbour Or I am not that bad 6. Procrastination 7. I will ask for forgiveness after These are the types of attitudes to watch out for. Sometimes we unconsciously slip into them. Which one of them can you easily relate with? Which of them can you honestly say you are guilty of? *DAILY DEW 7/NOVEMBER/2024* *May your desires come true* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life."* Proverbs 13:12 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ The circle of hope, desire and realization of dreams is what makes up life. When hope and desire linger without the achievement of what they are aiming for, it causes weariness and the weakness of hope to set in. But strong hopes and desires birth an inward force and an outward force that causes what is desired to come to pass. Of course, with or without the help of the divine. Somethings cannot happen without the aid of the divine, no matter how strongly desired and hoped for. In the end, one must persist in keeping hope alive. And positive desires must never be allowed to die. *DAILY DEW 4/NOVEMBER/2024* *THE LIGHT OF THE RIGHTEOUS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out."* Proverbs 13:9 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ May your light rejoice!!! This is a prayer of consistent rising and lifting and shining. Your light rejoices when it is in ascending order or degree of brightness. Proverbs 4:18 (KJV) But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. This is the definition of how our light rejoices. It means that we celebrate victory over darkness. It means we are on an ascending order and continue to overcome the challenges that darkness brings our way from time to time. On the contrary, Proverbs 4:19 (KJV) says "The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble." When we stumble at challenges and trials, we have kissed a degree of darkness. *DAILY DEW 3/NOVEMBER/2024* *POVERTY DESPISES CORRECTION* _Key Bible Text:_ *"The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke."* Proverbs 13:8 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ The poor are poor first in their mindset and attitude to life. Those who disdain correction are courting poverty, because by their adamant disposition they are blinded to opportunities. Never be poor in mind. Be rich in your thinking. Don't be hard towards rebuke and correction. Rather, assess them, sieve the good seeds out and make the most of them. The rich will have their wealth, access, and network as a ransom in the day of needs!
