*DAILY DEW 14/JULY/2024* *God's Blessing* _Key Bible Text:_ *The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.* (Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)) _Bible Insight_ This is both a promise and a standard for measuring or deciding the nature of any "blessing". As a promise, it is our place to seek God's kind of blessings that makes rich, edifies and at the same time leaves no sour taste or any regrets or sorrow along with it. If you ever think something, or anything is God's blessing but it is causing you sorrow, you must challenge it and address it in prayer. As a promise, God will not promise a good blessing and give a wahala (problematic) blessing. As a standard, any alleged God's blessing that has sorrow attached, is to be confronted by God's word or promise. E.g. BBE Proverbs 10:21 The lips of the [uncompromisingly] righteous feed and guide many, but fools die for want of understanding and heart. Amplified Your lips can feed and guide many. The requirements are that you must love righteousness and practice it. The second requirements flows from the first. You must give yourself to things that make alive. Dead things cannot give life. Dead habits cannot give life. Dead books, videos, games, places, people cannot give life. *DAILY DEW 10/JULY/2024* *A fool?* _Key Bible Text:_ *He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.* (Proverbs 10:18 (KJV)) _Bible Insight_ Anyone who hides hatred is a liar. Anyone who spreads gossip is a fool. (GNB) Proverbs 10:18 Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool. (NIV) Proverbs 10:18 He who hides hatred is of lying lips, and he who utters slander is a [self-confident] fool. (Amplified) Think about it. Do you hold one truth in your heart, as true but speak the opposite of what you are holding in your heart, passing it off as the truth? Do you hate something but pretend to love it! Do you pretend and say, "I love you" when in actual fact you mean, "I care less about you, but I love to sleep with you?" If you do such, the bible says, you are a fool! Refrain from promising love when you don't mean it.
