Let me quickly get to the point. You applied for a job last week and you were told to come back this week Monday since that's when an applicant will be chosen. It is Monday morning, and you've arrived at the place early enough. It's your turn to get attended to and you walk into the office, but you're told 'we are sorry, but you didn't get the job'. You're obviously disappointed. Truly, in life things don't always follow the route you want it to. Your hopes are raised one minute and the next minute the are dashed. In this case, the are so many reasons why you weren't chosen, but let me analyze a common one and discuss the rest some other time. It could be you didn't meet the criteria for qualification. That's the most common reason. Hey dear, but should that discourage you? NO! The is a 99% chance of you getting another job similar to the one you didn't qualify for. The only factor that can propel your chances of getting chosen is your level of 'DETERMINATION'. I once read somewhere that the 3Ds for success are : determination, dedication and discipline. I still use this formula, as it has really proven to work for me. When you are determined to get something, you sacrifice every other thing for it and prepare in advance. Dedicate your time to it and be consistent in learning about that particular thing. Discipline is very important, because it is the only thing that can make you continue learning it even when you don't feel like. What distinguishes you from others is your level of preparation and your in-depth knowledge about that particular subject/thing. Jessica you think it's easy bah?😏 No, on the contrary I don't think it is. But, it will be easy if you want it to be. Instead of dwelling on self pity, ask yourself : did I prepare in advance for this? Spend more time gathering more information about that subject or thing, and get better acquainted with it. Lastly, permit me to add something : you can be qualified for a job and still not get chosen. It doesn't mean the is something wrong with you. Just try again and maybe somewhere else.
