Precious Uchendu  3rd June, 2020 - from App

Trending on the media are series of Rape cases and violation of women rights. By the same token, everyone including men and children are victims of violence. It's too bad we found ourselves in a society where injustice reigns. But the good news is that we still have men and women with purpose. So, as we all are putting in collective effort to ensure that women are protected, I advise every lady reading this to take safety and security as a personal responsibility. In as much as there are people who have vowed to do evil. We still have a role to play for our own safety. - Let's watch the places we go to. Don't go to strange or unsafe places alone, go in groups. Don't always go out frivolously at night. Even as a man I don't usually stay outside past 9pm unless something came up. - Don't visit guys you don't trust or you don't want to have anything with. There's a chance something might happen and you'll be blamed for visiting in the first place. (I'm not saying you shouldn't visit at all, but be conscious that anything can happen). - Be prayerful. I've heard testimonies of ladies who found themselves in threatening situations but prayers and asking for God's grace saved them. - Stick to the right course. Let men understand that women have something to offer to the society beyond expectation. - Live aright, wear decent clothes (just try your best), stay safe. The list for safety is usually long and unending, but do the much you can. And to the guys reading this, always remember that Women are not weak, they just surrendered violence. Please and please let's not hurt them. Thank you. By Johnson Crystal Kalu. #HopefulMe #TheLionessHub
