*DAILY DEW 1/JULY/2025* *The Pharisees' Accusation* _Key Bible Text:_ *"And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. And he called them [unto him], and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?"* (Mark 3: 22-23) _Bible Insight_ The scribes from Jerusalem accused Jesus of being possessed by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and claimed he cast out demons through Satan's power (Mark 3:22). This accusation was a direct attack on Jesus' authority and the work of God. Jesus responded with a parable, questioning how Satan could cast out Satan (Mark 3:23). He highlighted the absurdity of the accusation, pointing out that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. Jesus' response demonstrated his wisdom, authority, and insight into the spiritual realm. _Key Lessons to Apply:_ - *Not everyone will recognize God's work*: Some people may attribute God's work to evil or misunderstand its significance. Before you conclude that something is not of God, be sure you have done all necessary checks. - *Divided kingdoms fall*: Jesus' parable emphasizes the importance of unity and the destructive nature of division. Are you a unifier or a divider? - *Jesus' authority is supreme*: Jesus' response demonstrates his authority over the spiritual realm and his power to cast out demons. Do you recognize divine authority? - *Stay focused on God's work*: Like Jesus, we should prioritize serving God and spreading the gospel, even in the face of criticism or opposition. Stay put in the midst of the chaos or criticisms. - *Recognize the enemy's tactics*: Be aware of the enemy's attempts to divide and undermine God's work. Persevere and be focused. - *Trust in Jesus' authority*: Remember that Jesus has ultimate authority over all realms, including the spiritual. Once you know you are on God's side, bask in the reality of God's authority. _MEDITATION:_ *"Criticisms and opposition is sometimes a way to recognize a move that is of God and a big threat to the enemy."* *Happy New Month to you. May you overcome every opposition and criticism on your path in Jesus name. Amen.
