As a child, there was nothing more comforting than waking from a bad dream to our parent's soothing voice saying, "I'm here. Don't be scared." In our parent's arms, there was safety. There was help. God promises to hold us in His hand. We are not to fear because He is close at hand. When the nightmares of life threaten to take over, He is there. He wraps us in His loving arms and assures us that all will be well. "I am here," He says. "Do not fear."
