*DAILY DEW 11/DECEMBER/2024* *What is the Gospel?* (4) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."* (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV)) _Bible Insight_ The Gospel is the message of the death of Christ for our sins, His burial and resurrection. This atoning death is the basis of our deliverance from the penalty of sin-- death! This death is substitutionary. Christ died in our place. He was not guilty but he took out conviction and served on our behalf the sentence of sin. He did not only die. He was buried. The period of burial was the time Jesus settled the issues he needed to settle in the spirit world. He collected the keys of death. He rose from the death.
