*DAILY DEW 22/APRIL/2024* *UNSOLICITED KINDNESS* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee."* Proverbs 3:29 (KJV) _Bible Insight:_ Unsolicited kindness? Maybe, more of unwarranted kindness. Kindness without any special reason. That's what God desires from us. It is not what we owe others on account of what they have done or not done, but what we owe them because of God! Proverbs 3:29 Don't try to be mean to neighbors who trust you. (CEV) Proverbs 3:29 Do not contrive or dig up or cultivate evil against your neighbor, who dwells trustingly and confidently beside you. (Amplified) Proverbs 3:29 Don't plan anything that will hurt your neighbors; they live beside you, trusting you. (GNB) A neighbor as far as Jesus is concerned, simply means anyone who comes around you. A passenger, a class mate, a work colleague, your next door tenant, a passerby, etc all pass as your neighbor according to Jesus in the parable of the good samaritan. To never plan evil against them, also means to never allow evil to come upon them as long as it is within your power to do something about it. This means being kind, being helpful, going out of your way, to ensure their good, and avoid any perceived or possible evil.
