*DAILY DEW 10/APRIL/2024* *Spiritual Disciplines* (3) _Key Bible Text:_ *"My son, do not make your heart hard against the Lord's teaching; do not be made angry by his training: For to those who are dear to him the Lord says sharp words, and makes the son in whom he has delight undergo pain."* Proverbs 3:11-12 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ Do not make your HEART HARD against the Lord's teaching; do not be made ANGRY by his training: For to those who are dear to him the Lord says SHARP WORDS, and makes the son in whom he has delight UNDERGO PAIN. Think of Miriam, who in Exodus 15:20 (KJV) was called "the prophetess, the sister of Aaron". But in Numbers 12:1 (KJV) "Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman." This attracted God's severe correction and discipline. Numbers 12:9-10 (KJV) And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. God punished a prophetess. Even Moses himself had his share of discipline too when he struck the rock twice rather than speak to the rock as the Lord instructed.
