DEAR 20 SOMETHING, YOU WILL UNRAVEL BEAUTIFULLY
Don't be afraid to slow down until the noise vanishes. Don't try to avoid the silence that will fill the room when you're reflecting on who you know you can be.
Don't shrink back from what you will find within yourself. Remember that your strength has been designed to meet a need that this world has and your weaknesses have been included to keep you humble and dependant on God.
You will not figure it out all at once because you're changing everyday. But don't be afraid to try and fail, making several attempt at something is the first step to mastery. Keep learning and evolving.
Life is not as bad as you often think it is, you're simply unraveling. You're unlearning old patterns and way of being. You're letting go of habits and thought processes that does not align with where you're going. You're becoming someone you've never met before and when there are few reference point on your journey, it's easy to feel alone. Being alone is not necessarily a bad thing.
Meditate on Psalm 139:16
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
Don't put off for tomorrow what can be done today. Scriptures admonishes you to seek God in the days of your youth.
Christ is more than a way to escape hell. He is wisdom for how to live our days. He is the purpose for our existence. He is a rail guard to prevent us from living life we only grow to deeply regret and feel ashamed of. He is peace when the storms of life comes crashing against us.
To truly enjoy relationship of any kind, you have to allow yourself to heal. Don't be embarrassed that you need grace but don't be quick to make yourself the victim and others villains. Access yourself honestly and take responsibility where necessary.
Please take it easy. There's nothing wrong with being different but if you don't fit in with a particular crowd, there's absolutely no need to force it.
At the right time, your own tribe will come. These are people who grow into safe places with you, people who with conversation or meeting make the world feel right again.
