*DAILY DEW 2/SEPTEMBER/2023* *The Difference Maker* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Count it a blessing when you suffer for being a Christian. This shows that God's glorious Spirit is with you. But you deserve to suffer if you are a murderer, a thief, a crook, or a busybody. Don't be ashamed to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God that you belong to him."* (1 Peter 4:14-16(CEV)) _Bible Insight:_ Some of the ideologies or myths that stand against making a positive difference are--- A. If you cannot beat them, join them:- If you succumb to this slogan you cannot make a positive difference. Rather say, if you cannot beat them, continue to be the one that gives a credible alternative. So that tomorrow, someone else will not say "if you can't beat them join them" Instead, they can at least have an option to join you! So I say, if you cannot beat them, show others who don't want to join them, how they can do it! B. Everyone is doing it:-- No, everyone is not doing it. Majority may be doing it, but it is okay to be the lone, moral/upright minority. Contentment and godliness is a great gain! Don't trade it. C. You will suffer for nothing:-- It is not true. Those who fall for everything don't have value. Those who bend just because they cannot suffer for what they believe, are actually not worth following. Be able to suffer for what you believe, if you must suffer for it. It is not "nothing". It Is big deal to stand by your convictions and suffer for what you believe to be right.
