The Bugle Sounds
I was Fast asleep then heared some sound in the background, opened my eyes and saw Corps members running healter-skelter, I struggled to stand up then asked what was happening, someone told me the Camp Officials were calling for Morning drill and Devotion, I checked my time and it was 4:00AM, I got confused "so this is how I'll be living for 21 days in this Camp" 🥺 I solemned the courage and I believe I could do it, I jumped from my bed and prepared for the Devotion.
Actually I always enjoyed the Morning Devotion, it was always fun and engaging but one thing I never enjoyed and didn't pay much attention was the early morning Yoruba Language lectures. I always use that time to pay attention to some other stuffs. After morning devotion, we had our breakfast which was prepared in the Camp Kitchen Rotationally by appointed Platoon members. After breakfast, SAED (Skill Acquisition and Enerpreneurial Development) lectures for skills tutoring which always lasted till 2pm, Then We will have lunch from 2-3pm after which we headed to the parade ground for practice. We had Dinner from 6-7pm after which we went for social night where all the vibes took place. One of the social night i was privilege to perform one of my songs and the audience were amazed.
All this happened in the regimented environ mostly by force and sanction, I also was admitted to the clinic because of cold, which they gave me vitamin C and paracetamol, I took it but without noticing any response, I went to the Mami and got drugs for myself.
Mami - A mini market in the Camp where you buy things.
I got well and resumed from where I stopped, I participated more in social activities than any other activity. Camp Lasted for 21 days and every Corps Members was posted to there different PPA, I was not posted but rather redeployed in the Camp to another State.
I bade my Camp Friends Goodbye and we parted ways.
