*DAILY DEW 28/APRIL/2023* *CALLED, PRESERVED & SANCTIFIED* _Key Bible Text:_ *"Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are SANCTIFIED by God the Father, and PRESERVED in Jesus Christ, and CALLED"* (Jude 1:1 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ JUDE was writing to everyone who believes and follows Christ, including you and I. It is important to think through the key words he used to refer to the Christian-- Called, Preserved, & Sanctified. Are you called? Yes, everyone who believes and follows Jesus must answer the call of God through Jesus Christ. It is a call to come out from darkness into light. 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) : *But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELLOUS LIGHT* In other words, it is a call to shun the works of darkness: 2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV): *Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? AND WHAT COMMUNION HATH LIGHT WITH DARKNESS?* Ephesians 5:11 (KJV) : *And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.* You have been called by Jesus. You and I used to be darkness, if you are truly saved. You must remember, that your calling is one that once you answer, you must move from darkness to light. Darkness is synonymous with secrecy. Whatever you would rather not let Jesus know you are involved in, whatever you wont like others to know you are doing, is a reminder of darkness. Shun it. Reprove it. Whenever any works of darkness calls, remind them, and yourself that light has already called your name and you answered. Amen. _MEDITATION:_ *And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
