*DAILY DEW 25/APRIL/2023* *SHUT IT DOWN* _Key Bible Text:_ *"My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path"* (Proverbs 1:10, 15 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ I listened to a podcast, and I've never seen a man so vulnerable. He got married in 2021 I think, in a very beautiful ceremony. The kind that makes you 'Aww'. He said they went out to eat and a lady walked up to them and said she was attracted to both of them. He found it strange, but his wife wasn't shocked. For context, they are both believers in Christ. Long and short, they started having th**esomes. His curiosity heightened. He started and became addicted to watching porn. 8months into their marriage his wife was frustrated because he wanted her to be a porn star. He wanted what he was watching. They are getting divorced now. He took responsibility because he should have shut it down when that lady met them at dinner. I found this interesting because this is how addiction and destructive habits start. The Bible says "Don't give the devil a foothold." When we start tap dancing around habits that would destroy us, by the time they manifest full blown, its difficult to stop. So, shut it down! It's easy to open the door to these habits, but very difficult to shut. We all have those dark habits you may want to explore more of. But ask God to help you shut that desire down, because it may be pleasurable today, but the consequences are dire. Their marriage lasted about 9months. She left. He's now in therapy...
