*DAILY DEW 4/MARCH/2023* *WHEN GOD'S "YES" APPEARS LIKE A "NO"* (V) _Key Bible Text:_ *"When the men of Benjamin came out to attack, they were drawn away from the town. And as they had done before, they began to kill the Israelites. About thirty Israelites died in the open fields and along the roads, one leading to Bethel and the other leading back to Gibeah. Then the warriors of Benjamin shouted, "We're defeating them as we did before!" But the Israelites had planned in advance to run away so that the men of Benjamin would chase them along the roads and be drawn away from the town."* (Judges 20:31-32 (NLT)) _Bible Insight:_ Again, the enemy thought it was business as usual. They thought they were winning like before. Alas, they didn't know that THIS TIME, the case is different. Note that at first, it even appeared as though they were defeating and killing the Israelites, as before. By the time they would realize that this 3rd day, is NOT in their favour, was already too late. At least 25,100 skilled Benjaminte soldiers died. As if that was not enough, all the civilians were slayed, including animals. 😪 Still, as if that was not enough, they burned down the cities and villages of the Benjamites. When God gives you Victory, it is a total one. It may come slowly, but surely that sweet victory will come. Hold your ground and keep up the good fight of faith! Life may happen. Situations may threaten your faith. You would even doubt if God is with you. You may even doubt if you heard God. But in the misdt of the tiring and challenging situation, hold on to your faith, and keep showing up. Keep hope alive. Keep prayer alive. Keep seeking the face of God. Remember, one thing we kept reading was-- (1) they went back to Bethel to seek the face of God. Verses 18, 23, & 26; (2) They took up their positions! (Verses 22, 30, 33) Don't lose your faith in the place of prayer and don't lose your faith in the place of labour/efforts (their position) Always remember, the Lord NEVER SPEAKS in vain. So don't be weary and don't stop holding your position in prayer and labours.
