*DAILY DEW 15/JANUARY/2023* *HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF CHURCH* (I) _Key Bible Text:_ *Be persistent in prayer, and keep alert as you pray, giving thanks to God. At the same time pray also for us, so that God will give us a good opportunity to preach his message about the secret of Christ. For that is why I am now in prison. Pray, then, that I may speak, as I should, in such a way as to make it clear.* (Colossians 4:2-4 (GNB)) _Bible Insight:_ A lot of events are being hosted by churches at this period being the start of the year. You must know that you can be a member of your local church and yet never get the best out of the church. This is also why not our believers are growing as they ought to be. There are things you MUST do if you must get the best out of your church. And it begins with how you approach and treat every single event, program or activities of the church. Here are a few things you MUST do to make the best out of church this season... _*1. You need to have a Godly Agenda / Motive:*_ What's your motive for coming to church? Your motive becomes your motivation. When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. You need to get your motive right and stay focused. Jesus chased Merchants out of the temple because they were abusing the purpose of the temple. Many people have turned church into a ‘hookup’ centers. You can’t get the best from church if you abuse its purpose. _*2. Prepare and ‘Pre-Pray’ Before Coming to Church:*_ *Preparation gets you in the zone. You get divine whispers when you are in the zone. Divine whispers are not really what the pastor is saying, but a personalized version of it.* The Word of God gets broken down into small applicable steps for your life, and you become certain of what God is asking you to do. To prepare for a believer is to Pre-Pray! This puts you in a posture to receive from God. _MEDITATION:_ *"Don't come to church or attend church meetings, programs or activities casually. Be deliberate and determined. Come hungry and expectant. Pray ahead of every church gathering.
