*DAILY DEW 4/JANUARY/2023* *TAKING NATIONS FOR CHRIST* (IV) _Key Bible Text:_ *Let me tell you what GOD said next. He said, "You're my son, And today is your birthday. What do you want? Name it: Nations as a present? continents as a prize?* (Psalms 2:6-8 (The Message)) _Bible Insight:_ Why must we take nations for Christ? The simple answer is that sons or mature believers are asked to do so. Every believer that is consciously growing into sonship must become a nations seeker! The proof that you are growing in your walk with God, is that you become alive to God's expectations for your life. These expectations include primarily that you ASK FOR NATIONS, that you rise to take on nations for Christ! So the need to ask for nations is not a matter of choice but a matter of obedience. We can't take nations until we begin to ask for nations! Asking for nations is the mark that we are becoming alive to the heart beat of God. Revelation 11:15 (KJV) says *"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD ARE BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD, AND OF HIS CHRIST; and he shall reign for ever and ever."* So we strive to capture nations for Christ, as we raise standards of righteousness, excellence, soul winning, prayers for the nations, exemplary lifestyle and leadership etc. And as we do these, we are "casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ". This is why we must take nations for Christ. And there is a reward attached. For *"they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."* (Daniel 12:3 (KJV)) As nations represent men, when we turn men to righteousness, when we strive for the salvation of souls, we are taking nations for Christ. And God will make us shine ad the brightness of the stars for ever and ever!
