The Other Room
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint".
Ordinarily, we think of waiting as a passive action. But not in this verse. It's active. When we wait on the Lord, we are strengthened and enabled to soar above our circumstances. There is a very old myth that when an eagle grows old, they fly high up into the high places where they lose all its feathers. They stay there until its feather grows back. They become renewed. As I said, it is a myth, but the truth is, the verse does not say we renew our strength like the eagle does. It says our strength is renewed so that we have the strength of eagles!
Now my point exactly, there is always a need to separate ourselves once in a while to pour out the old wine and take in new wine. We are made for more and to access that more, we have to fly high into the high places just like the eagle, we deliberately lose our old feathers of all our achievements, accolades, medals, and press in for more of God from the Other Room.
The Other Room isn't a place of pleasure, it's a place where one combat with God until your Life fully becomes a perfect expression of His will ( remember how Jacob fought with God alone until God changed his name and he had other major encounters). Well, Many believers dread this place, especially me most of the time🤧 and I can't place WHY. There is a need to shut the doors of those familiar and convenient rooms and move intentionally to the Other Room( a place of spiritual combat). The intensity of the fire, fellowship, and intimacy we could experience is incomparable. God opens totally up to us because He sees our desperation to Stay and abide alone with Him. It's not an easy adventure but the Other room is a place of Encounters and Fulfillment.
Stay tuned for moreðŸ™âœ
